Reservation Contemplation Help

I've been to Disney a billion times but at the last minute here we are deciding about the possibility of going the first of October. Using the Dream Maker package I have to have it all paid off 45 days before arrival which is mid August...doesn't give me alot of time. If I get reservations for just the room I only have to pay one night stay now and the rest by day of arrival and I can add ultimate park hoppers along the way. It would end up costing about 300 dollars more then the Dream Maker. I am wondering if I could change it come mid September to the dream maker package and give me a few extra weeks to have it paid off? Anyone have any ideas? Do they only have a set number of dream makers where I wouldn't be able to do that? Would I not be able to get the couple days free?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi there, I do believe there is a limited number of packages at each hotel so you may have to be a little flexible on your dates and/ or your hotel preference. If you book a package say 30 days before your arrival date the payment in full is due at that time. I also e mailed this thread to our Travel Sponsor, Kingdom Konsultant. She may be able to assist you better as she has more info than I have!! Good luck!! Belle

Belle is correct, if you book it inside the 30 days, you will have to pay it in full. Also the deal that is out now with the 2 free nights, it ends on the 28th of June. So in order to get the deal, you would have to book it by then.
If you want me to help you with your trip, please feel free to PM or e-mail me.

Hmmm

Now I've got the bright idea to just purchase an annual pass for my hubby and then use the AP rates when they come out. Any ideas about that thought?

What if there are no AP rates for October? I dont believe they had them last year in Oct. Does anybody know if they will? and when they might be released?

Not a bad idea on the AP thing. There are never any guarantees that the AP rates will be released though. One year ( last year perhaps?) there were no AP rates for September. This was incredibly odd as it is a slower period for Disney!!!!! So you never can tell. I still would advise you to speak to Pam as she has had a lot of experience dealing with Disney and might be able to give you some historical trends as well as what way would be the most economical. Financing Option

Yes, it's another credit card, but if you apply for and use the Disney Visa card, you don't have to pay for a Disney vacation for 6 months interest free. (If I'm not being clear), You pay off in the 45 days using the credit card, but don't pay off the credit card for up to 6 months.

Plus (it's minor) but you get Disney dollars as a percentage of purchases (like Discover card) and you get assorted coupons and discounts in the mail.

Gotta hurry however as the 7 for 5 promotion has to be booked by the end of this month.

I do hate sounding like a shill for the mouse with some of this advise...:zipit:

LOL you aren't a shill clemson. Thanks for the thought. I am one of "those" people. I do not own a credit card. Only one I own is straight out of my bank. I figure if I have to charge it, I shouldn't be buying it or don't need it. I have been extremely tempted to get that card, but I don't ever want to owe money like that.

Great Idea there Clemson!!!! I understand why some people dont want a credit card. It can get you in a huge mess if you arent careful, but for something like this it is awesome. Just make sure that the interest doesnt accrue and if you dont pay it off by the end of the six months , you get charged the full 6 months worth of interest, just as you would have if you had been paying it all along!! A certain furniture store out here has that trick, no payments for such an amount of time, but what they dont tell you is that the interest will hit if you dont have it COMPLETELY paid off by the end of the no payment period of time.
