Reservation Before Park Opens - Transportation

We're staying in the Polynesian, and have a breakfast reservation at Hollywood Studios before the park opens (about an hour before the park opens) on our upcoming trip. It seems that the buses won't be running early enough for us to make our reservation time, so we're thinking that a cab is going to be our best bet; however I figured I should ask here to see if there are any other transportation options that will get us to HS in time for our reservations.

Any ideas?

Couldn't you take the monorail to Ticket center get off and then transfer to the bus to DHS?? Just thinking you can and if they take ressies that early they ahve to have ways to get you there. Our earliest have been 8 and there is always a bus to take us. We usually start out at 7 on the bus so thinking you should be able to. Ask your front desk the night before or and to make sure.

Ok, I'll be sure to ask the front desk the day before. IIRC, the park opens at 9 and the reservation is at 8. So the bus to DHS will be running that early? I was under the impression that that busses only run about an hour before the park opens.

Ok if that were the case then why would they allow early ressies from guest staying at resorts on property, I remember we had a 8 am ressie at 1900 PF in and somehow we went on the wrong bus or you will be fine at &wrong park then had to get on another and there was noone at the bus stop. Some CM's came along in a van and offered us a ride and took us all the way there. But yes there are buses running that early. Some parks open at 8 on EMH mornings so they have to have them running for things like that. but I am pretty sure well where are you staying and where are you going?? Oh yea the Poly but where are your ressies at?

This brings back so many memories of our first trip..I knew what to do and we all headed to the buses when I looked back and there were no guys hubbys with us. When they finally came out the door, he stopped and had asked the CM at the check in counter which one and by darned we missed it when we all knew which one it was. I went in to a tanzy they say.. I did not in MHO lol but made me so mad as that almost made us late. We got there at 8 and the ressie is at 8 your supposed to be there 15 minutes prior so keep that in mind when leaving.

Buses begin running to the theme parks approximately 2 hours before the park opens. You'll have no trouble getting to DHS for an 8 AM ADR.

You should be able to get a bus. Just give yourself plenty of time for the bus in case you walk up just after it's left. For early ADRs we always spring the $$ for a cab because it's so simple, relaxing, takes no time at all, and I can sleep a little more. Totally worth it!

Thanks guys! I always thought the buses started running only an hour before the parks opened. I remember reading that somewhere on a WDW trip planning site. Anyway, good to know that they start sooner, although neither my wife nor my son are morning people, so maybe taking a cab is worth the money! :D

I'll be sure to ask at the front desk just to make sure, if we decide to take the bus.

Even if the regular DHS bus isn't running when you want to go, there are the late night busses. Call transportation the day before and ask about the after hours bus. Concierge might be able to help as well. No reason to pay for transportation no matter what.

Thats what I said if Disney cannot provide trans for all these early am breakfast times then they would not offer them. So you will get there and you will have a bus. Do NOT waste money you could spend in the park on a cab.. Well unless money is no object and you have to get it out of your wallet. ha ha
