Research topic?

I just started my college writing class today & was told that in about a month & a half we would be starting the research for a research paper on any topic we want. I want to do something relating to Disney, but I need a topic that will have at least 30 sources that I can use. (The sources have to be books as well as internet.)

I'm thinking of something with animation because I love the movies, but I think it might be kinda hard to find enough sources.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a topic that might provide enough sources to meet that requirement and also be able to write 12-15 pages on? I don't need it for a few weeks & I'm gonna talk to my professor and see what he thinks, but I would love some other people's suggestions as well.

ahh I did this last year. I wrote a 15 page paper on How walt disney world revolutionized the theme park industry.

I went into detail about the marketing strategies and how it made the competition step up
I talked about the parks as a whole.

Another way to do this is to do a report on Walt Disney's life, last year in 7th grade we had to right a paper on someone that inspired us. I wrote mine about Walt Disney. We had to memorize it and bring in examples of some stuff. It was lots of fun to me because I learned a lot about him.

All together Disney is a great project area.

I'd also go for Walt. There are a variety of biographical sources both online and in written text. (If you do go for it, I wholly recommend "Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination" by Neal Gabler. Heck, even if you don't go for it, it's still a great read. :lol: )

I did a presentation on how Disney changed the entertainment industry. Between animation, films, theme parks, etc there was a lot to do with it! It was actually overwhelming haha but very interesting to really dive into.
