I just got back from a wonderful week at POFQ and I cannot believe that I am thinking about going back already.

I admit I wondered about how some could go year in and year out, but I am falling into this situation myself. This was our second year in a row, and I would not be surprised to find myself there next year as well.

I am sure that many of you can relate.

Strange how these things happen!

Yeah, right.......

Disney is addictive, the more you go, the more you want!

PS Hehehe....we got another one hooked!

How was it on the last trip? Our trip is scheduled for the second week of December next year and were wondering about water parks and crowds?

thanks, mg

Okay, so I've obviously come to the right place. After waiting a lifetime to go for the first time, we visited WDW in 2003. Following that trip, we waited two and a half years for another 'trip of a lifetime', which happened last Christmas (2005). So we completely fell in love with visiting that time of year and planned for Christmas 2007. But, we have since found out we can't wait that long so we are going back in early March. We now plan to go every Christmas for 10-12 days. A few years ago, we couldn't imagine going annually, but now we can barely handle waiting 50 weeks between trips.

I do have one question for the AP holders and frequent visitors. Do you get 'tired' of going? Does it get 'old' or 'stale'? If not, why not? (I ask because we are talking about going twice per year and I'm hoping that more frequent visits won't be less 'magical'.)

I can't even count the number of times I've been to DL, and have been to WDW at least a dozen times. It doesn't get old for me because there is something organic about both places. They're constantly changing and growing. And even though I know every turn on Space, know the entire spiel with approved (and unapproved) alternatives on Jungle, and could sing all of the songs in Splash, they're still fun. Not needing to do/see everything each time lets me meander aimlessly, which is usually when I'll discover something new or meet interesting people.

Plus, it's super fun introducing someone new to the parks. Last year, I indoctrinated not one but TWO new people. Both were grimmacing at the thought of a day in an amusement park with a bunch of bratty kids and bad parents. Obviously, that's not the experience they ended up having. Both trips it was like having an 8 year old with us, and it brought back all the wonderful memories I had growing up and going there. And now, neither of them can wait to go back.

Count me in the club.

We went for the first time over Halloween. Thought it was the "once in a lifetime" and have since been furiously paying of ye old credit card. So I just booked another trip at the end of April for my daughter's birthday. I would have laughed so hard had you told me a year ago I'd be doing this!

EXCELLENT post.

We go once, sometimes twice a year with our two kids. Our close friends have a boy the same age as our girls, and they've never been able to visit WDW because they just can't afford it. We've talked with them so much about how great WDW is and about how fun it would be to take them and "show them the ropes" that we just last week offered to take them and cover all costs, and give them a week they'll never forget. :sohappy:

Visiting often doesn't mean that the magic dies... It means that what magic is to you might change a little from the first time you visited, but that's a good thing. In our case, part of the magic to us is to help CREATE the magic for someone else.

I have a business trip Wednesday Through Friday and plan on spendinn the weekend there. Then 3 weeks later we are going back for a real vacation. Then Looking for a trip in September. Completely normal, you are exactly who Walt Disney had in mind when he had the vision of the parks.

It is good to see that I am in good company. My sister and her family who went last year are in again as well, so I guess it runs in the family.

I still find there are must dos and the would be fun to dos that we can keep getting in with repeat trips, plus the whole aspect of knowing we will be back keeps our pace more leisurely.

....although I still do get a little antsy when we are not at the bus stop by 8:30...:o

Thanks. That's a great response and I was hoping that was how people felt. I'm looking forward now to going twice per year when we can afford it.
