So let's just offer none...sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Never mind that the two which were offered reresented the two most adhered-to branches of faith in this country. The logic here is that if we can only accomodate 75-80% of the people here, then we'd rather just accomodate nobody. Way to go, Disney.

While, I'm not in favor of it, I'd rather have no services than Disney be sued for discriminating against different religions, especially now.

No one was suing. And there were plenty of spaces for others to be accommodated. No reason to sue, or be denied.

BTW, Niteobsrvr: read what you wrote again. The settlers did INDEED come here to escape religious persection, but not to get away from religion. They came here exactly so that they could PRACTICE their religion. We have freedom OF religion (not FROM). It should stand to reason that faith practices would flourish here, not the other way around.

Disney's business is theme parks and resorts.

There are many things that Disney provides on-site to make guests comfortable.

There are many things that Disney does not provide on-site.

You must go off-site
if you need a doctor or hospital
if you need prescription drugs or over-the-counter drugs not available in the hotel gift shop
if your car needs repair

Companies that provide these services may also provide pick-up or delivery services for the convenience of WDW guests who may not have a car. But it is the pharmacy providing the delivery--not WDW.

Many churches own vans or busses for the sole purpose of picking up people who don't have transportation on Sunday morning.

30 church vans would not significantly affect the traffic levels on Disney property.

WRONG WRONG WRONG.....it's CUSTOMER SERVICE!

TRUE. Most of which are provided because the CUSTOMERS they SERVE requested them...(you know..like pools, televisions, a place to worship).

You can say THAT again! HAHA!

Hmmmm....you MAY be correct, but none of these things is a weekly or daily obligation for Disney guests. Most of us hope we never have to use these services.

I have a feeling we will just have to agree to disagree on this issue, because if you think a random prescription delivery is the same as transporting hundreds of people from every resort to various churches and back again on the same day creates the same amount of traffic, I think a separate forum discussion on transportation is in order.....

MOST, to my knowledge, do not have the ability to handle the numbers we're talking about here. In fact, I can't even think of a Catholic church in the area that owns a van for this purpose. They never needed one.......They HAD a place at the Polynesian to serve their people....before the recent changes.....when all was right with the world......
