The long lines are actually mostly due to the "slow" boarding rate of the attraction

But I agree..its not going anywhere....

I think, that if they do anything with that ride, they could at least put something in like electric cars. They would be futureistic by being electric, and you wouldn't need to breathe in that car exaust anymore!

I believe that Spe-edway , as someone just said, become expansion of Toontown if possible. Yet, it may not fit, as it is in bettween Tomorrowland And Fantasyland...

I think they should just get some futuristic looking cars..I mean, right now, it doesn't fit in with tommorowlan very much, we all have gas-powered cars, who is that a glimpse into the future? Get some concept artists in there to design some neat cars, add some cool "Worm hole tunnels" that would transport the drivers to 'other planets' so they could drive through new terrain, with different scenery, even funny, fuzzy aliens that could pop up here and there. Also, make em' electric, that smoke is killing me...

Actualy, yes it is... and if it DID close, it would be because it is dying, not because it's just a waste of space. Disney knows that the public wants it to stay, but the public just doesn't realize why it needs to close. By opening it seasonally, they are actualy saving the motors as much as they can so they can leave it open longer.

Wait just a moment! You can say "hell" but you can't say speedway? What is this place coming to? Anyway I think they should do something with the area, I know it was just updated to an Indy theme (the race cars not the movies) But the valuable space could be better used for maybe a, I don't know, ride based on Rescuers, that would be something that would attract kids, but then again, no, they would probably make it another Dumbo clone with you riding on the back of Orville, nevermind.

Replace the car bodies with a futuristc look and get rid of the guide railing. It should be like Auotpia was when DL first opened.
Just needs a more futuristic look. It clashes with the whole tomorrowland theme in it's present state.

Still a fave though.

WHAT ABOUT A HERBIE ATTRACTION??? THIS LITTLE CAR GETS THE SHAFT WHEN IT COMES TO DISNEY...I mean, YES, they have a section in All-Star Movies...but come on...how about a race where you sit in Herbie and it's got the technology used in M:S where you have a surround viewing screens in every "window" of herbie...and you get to choose your own "shortcuts" like going over a pond, up the elevator shaft, splitting in half...things like that...and the best "shortcuts" the faster your time and better your rank

This is a somewhat simple rehab.....

Just added a metallic surface

Electric cars w/futuristic designs

and maybe add a more high tech an gentler guidance system, other than the guide rails, I am not sure though if completely removing them would be good.
