Regular Disney goers...

Those of you who like to go to WDW fairly regularly, do you prefer to stay at the same resort each time? Do you like to try out new ones each time? Do you switch between offsite and onsite? I've only ever stayed at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek, which we have been very happy with. Now that my kids are a little bit older, we don't necessarily need the full kitchen and in suite laundry (which is still quite handy). I would love to try new places each time but I find it hard once you find something you like. That being said, we will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter next time and I'm pretty excited about it.

I am more so the Disney goer who likes to stick with tradition and stay at one of the All-Stars (mostly Movies) every time not only because it is on-site with complimentary transportation but also because it is lower in price. Loved this hotel since I was in high school. It is a value resort, but they are nice for what they are and you are still near the magic.

Where I stay almost entirely depends on who else I'm traveling with. I lived locally from 2011 to 2014 so we've been able to try out almost all of the resorts for short one-or-two night stays to see what we like best. Now that we're back up North, we usually go for 8 nights at a time.

If it were just me, my wife, and our two daughters, we'd probably stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge every time, but the price point and bed situation doesn't work for some of the other people we travel with. When we travel with my extended family (mom, dad, one or two adult sisters, husband and/or boyfriend of adult sister(s)), we obviously need more space and more beds. Plus, since they're all adults, they don't want to be dinged with the "extra adults" fee in the normal hotel rooms. With that group, we've done two cabins at Ft. Wilderness, a two bedroom villa at Old Key West, and, this upcoming trip, two family suites at Art of Animation. My wife's family, on the other hand, likes to have a full kitchen with washer and dryer. It's my wife's mother and aunt, so again we need extra beds. That's when we'd go to a place like Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

We tend to try new ones every time we go but there are a few we shy away from. We didn't care for saratoga springs so we probably won't go back .
Depending on the type of vacation I do will determine on site or offsite. If I'm doing mainly disney then I'm onsite. If I'm only doing the mouseworld 1 or 2 days I'll stay off site.

I like trying new places. Used to be a bit more chicken about it and would do a split stay- resort I wanted to try with a resort I knew I loved.

When I was younger, we stayed off-site. Then I made the mistake of staying on-site once and now I'm spoiled! I like trying a new place each trip. I've stayed at Fort Wilderness, Caribbean Beach Resort, Port Orleans French Quarter, Pop Century and All Star Movies (and the Disneyland Hotel.) My next trip though will be with the extended family and we are looking into renting a house since we need the space, not to mention that a whole house costs less than one value room on-site! I'm a little disappointed about not staying inside the bubble but there's always next time.

In my youth, my parents and I would always stay off-site (and drive to WDW). Thankfully I got wiser in my later years: always on-site and fly now. Anyway, I follow the discounts - but I'll give preference to try a new resortif I can and haven't been before... But at this point, I've stayed at most of them! I also tend to prefer the Swan over all else, but it's often difficult because it's either booked up or expensive if it isn't. I lucked out on both for my upcoming trip.

We've never stayed off site because we prefer having the entire Disney experience. We have only stayed at the Contemp, Poly and POFQ. Since our first stay at POFQ, we were so happy with the atmosphere, comfort, size and feel of the resort that weve continually booked our rooms there. Once in a while I will take a chance and change things up but usually if I'm happy enough with something I'll stick with what I enjoy. I dont see myself changing from POFQ unless I go to book sometime and theres no vacancies.

I have stayed all over though I would be content staying in one spot over and over. We are DVC members now so it's always on site. We have a few that are favorites (though there are some resorts my offspring haven't experienced so we're doing those) but really we're kind of happy anywhere. Previously my favorite resort was the Swan. I also really liked the Disney Springs resorts.

I would like to stay at all the resorts some day and I have stayed at quite a few. But for now I prefer to stay at whichever Disney hotel is the cheapest, so it is usually the All Star. By staying cheap we can go more often and use the "savings" to eat at nice restaurants and have other experiences like golf for my husband or a tour for me.

As APs, we are trying to experience all of them, but the price of deluxe resorts and certain favs that we love revisiting (PORFQ, for example) have limited us to about 10 resorts.

We have stayed at Fort Wilderness, both the cabins and camping, Pop Century, and the All Stars. We're AP holders, but still tend to go back to resorts we know.

We like trying different resorts, but POP is our favorite value due to the dedicated buses, huge food court, & the fact that you could jump over to AoA's bus line if POP's is too busy. So, we tend to stay here for a longer stay when funds are low.

We often talk about trying different resorts, but I think my wife would be happy just staying at Boardwalk Inn forever. We have stayed at Boardwalk 4 times, AKL twice, and Port Orleans Riverside once, it tends to come down to price, and convenience of what we want to do most, and BWI has always usually been in our target price range and close to Epcot. Coming up in October though we will be trying Wilderness Lodge for the first time, at the time of booking it was just significantly cheaper than BWI, things could change though, if a there is a sale that gets posted for our travel dates.

We like to try new ones but since we want to go as much as we do, we need to be budget friendly. Out of all the budget hotels, Pop is our favorite, so we've stayed there the most. You can see from my signature I've stayed at a lot!

No
I've stayed at all except the strictly DVC resorts [SS and OKW] and Coronado Springs [too sprawling].

Now I've narrowed down to a favourite at each level, Pop, POFQ and BC.

Having stayed at many, but not all, we prefer the Wilderness Lodge. It really does feel like home. Having set that, on our trip last year, we stayed at Yacht Club because we were only going to Epcot and Animal Kingdom
