Refurb in Norway!

This was a refurb done to Norway foss to include in the P Adventure. Its a vikingsword inside the mountain which will open when the Guests activate it... App it seems like its not working fully. As the waterfall has been off for MANY months now....

The effect still works great. In fact, the mountain doesn't open, just the water slows down enough for you see it light up. But that is not the reason the waterfall is turned off.

Oh... Havent seen the effect, is it really working now? I was there late November. But some friends of mine told me two weeks ago the waterfall is still off.

They also removed the exhibit in the store with pics from the opening and the royal guard in Norways sword etc...

Is it off because they have this continuing problem with water from Maelstrom flooding into the Puffins Roost?

Yes, they are still having that problem. When they started the project, they were told that the whole waterfall needed to be refurbed because of old and rusted parts inside, but they worked on one part and when they finished they actually had more leaks. So instead of just doing it right the first time, the tried the cost effective method, but it didn't work too well. So Disney's solution is....just turn the waterfall off. Sound familar?

Oh boy... That sucks.

I hope D gets their act together and fix things.
They did some improvements to the ride recently though. Switched some light bulbs etc... haha...

How long did it take them to save up the money to replace the light bulbs?
