The recent ROE discussions reminded me I've been meaning to do this for a while. The show has some detailed, intricate laser programming that is often unseen by guests. This angle shows most of that detail. Watch in 720p if possible.

Very interesting! I did not realize just how much the lasers are used during Illuminantions. Thanks for posting this!!!

Hrm.. I have the urge to go through hundreds of illuminations videos and frankenstein all the clips together that best showcase the lasers at every moment. I usually just use the "Reflections of Earth HD & Peace on Earth 2009" video to get the best of it right now ;-)

The video posted is neat, but doesn't capture some of the moments I love:
1) the multi-color "spread" at 3:04 (it's slightly clearer at the 7:17 mark)
2) The "bouncy pattern" at 3:40 that resolves into a single beam at 4:15
3) multi-colored "ceiling" at 5:53

I did like the capture of the fast-paced 1-3 laser sequences at 3:01 and 7:05. Really cool stuff.

FWIW one of my favorite laser moments is in the POE tag near the end... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGgaoo37kis&t=4m41s . I guess I would dub that the "speedup" laser effect. Interestingly enough, of all the times I've seen the tag, the only time I was able to really see that effect well was the one time I watched it from about the same place that video was taken.

Very good video Martin. There is only one better video that I have seen showing the lasers programming from the American Adventure. It was taken from directly above the laser room.
