I saw the videos - I didn't realize the Skyliner ran that late?On the skyliner right now, they look to be running a test of some kind of show.

Any chance this show starts in June? It seems like there isn’t 4 months of testing that needs to be done.
It doesn't look like Epcot is ready to run Harm front to back every night after hours. IDK how close we are to that? I'm 98% sure Harm will still be worked on over night when EF comes back That's what TDO planned for before COVID, correct? There isn’t four months but they are taking advantage of the time right now when they aren’t also loading up EF nightly. It will be back soon. EF only showed for a few months. They’d like a few more out of it with Harm as a 50th offering. They need to hold some things for the 50th since TRON and GotG are pushed to 2022.
They’ll still work on it sporadically but this is the reason work accelerated this spring. They would not normally be testing a firework show so extensively 4+ months out.It doesn't look like Epcot is ready to run Harm front to back every night after hours. IDK how close we are to that? Watch this space. That was my thought process leading to the conclusion that HARM may premier far earlier than being rumored.
You wouldn't do all this testing just to then have all the equipment go idle for 3-5 months.
I could certainly see a situation where HARM runs as a "soft" show over the summer, with the gradual introduction of further elements, with the "official full premier" of HARM coming October 1.
That would make more sense than running Epcot Forever every night at 9pm, only to then launch more fireworks testing multiple nights per week at midnight.
That's what USF did with CineCele! Granted, they had nothing else to fall back on and it was already July 4th of that year. But, they started "Technical Rehearsals" for the public with just the Fountains and added stuff along the way. However their process was a few weeks, not months....That was my thought process leading to the conclusion that HARM may premier far earlier than being rumored.

What function would a fabric diffuser be used for?
I would guess so that guests don't get a thousand watt lamp pointed unobscured directly in their face. Also, it would light up the structure as if it were solid, rather than highlight bits of metal tubing.
And keep out pigeons.
I was saying there isn’t 4 months of work left.Isn't June, July, August, and September four months until Oct 1?
Also it makes it less uglyI would guess so that guests don't get a thousand watt lamp pointed unobscured directly in their face. Also, it would light up the structure as if it were solid, rather than highlight bits of metal tubing.

Sure! what ever you say. Also it makes it less ugly

Yeah Its just when I see a name like that it reminds me of when disney used classical music synced with fireworks, lasers, and later on, pyros. One of the things I found particularly perfect was how well synced they seem to be at times. The fireworks are timed perfectly and more importantly they don't over do it on the fireworks they they have to literally take the music volume to the very highest limit just so you can hear it. Perfect timing and precision always pays off on a nice display. Since this may be what epcot has for possibly the next 5 to 10 years or more I hope its not too much to ask if they can temper the use of music in combo with the fireworks without it getting too out of harmony or loud enough you can hear it from the rainforest cafe.Yes we can expect synchronized fireworks to the music just like all the past EPCOT shows.
Also makes Julian fries! will not break!!! Will. Not...... Oh. It brokeI would guess so that guests don't get a thousand watt lamp pointed unobscured directly in their face. Also, it would light up the structure as if it were solid, rather than highlight bits of metal tubing.
