I saw it in person yesterday and almost cried. I usually try to be supportive, but this is terrible. Looks horrible and I will be writing guest relations about it, I know it will probably fall on deaf ears but it’ll make me feel like I tried.

That would have zero effect. Disney won’t be using the new Harm barges in EF.

Just rewatched an Imagineering episode and the literally talk about how they need to hide the technology in plain sight. Sigh.....

According to the latest episode of Disney Dish. The other barges will be moved out and used as a fountain in February. Show testing would begin around that time. With the show opening around April-Easter time.

As much as I loved the series...it ain't aging well. Also, I think parts of it were filmed years ago (Marty's segments would have been filmed in early 2017 at the latest) so maybe they pivoted on the "plain sight" thing after filming haha.

It could easily be a "simple" connection issue and I'd like to hope they have a quick process in place to replace panels as they go bad over time.

Then again whoever suggested this shows setup thought it'd be fine so all bets are off.
