We will be going for the first time in Dec and guessing we will buy the mugs. What I am wanting to know is, is it just soft drinks? Can you get tea, coffee, juice, (MILK especially) big milk drinker...or how does that work? Also does it have your resort name on it and can you refill at the parks with it? Also if you can have coffee do they provide creamer sweetners etc just laid out to grab? Also in the ASMU suites do they provide coffee in the room or do I need to bring my own packets I mean not the pot?

You can get tea coffee hot chocolate as well as sodas (different ones at different resorts)

No milk, though. I'm a milk lover, too! And no juice either.

There is no resort name... all resorts use the same design. And there is no filling up at the parks.

They provide all sorts of "drink accessories" including creamers, sweeteners, lemons, etc.

I have no idea about what is provided in the suites, however. Can't help you on that one.

The mugs are good for refills at the resort you are staying at only. You cannot refill them in the parks.

You can refill the mugs with juice (apple juice, lemonade, etc.. in the soda machines), soda, tea, coffee from the dispensers that are in the foodcourt. If you want a specific drink that is on the shelves, you have to pay for it. I don't know if they have milk in the beverage dispensers...I've never seen it before.

The creamers and all are out to grab.

Sorry, I can't answer your question about the coffee at ASmusic, I never had a coffee maker in my room.

Thanks so much... will just bring my own 1/2 gallon in and put in the fridge then. I do not drink sodas so hopefully they will have good brewed tea for hours other than morning.

I'd guess that they give you coffee, but I don't think they'd have creamers and such in the room. You could grab a bunch from the food court and bring them to the room. Though in ASMovies, they had a cream dispenser, I don't remember creamers, so I'm not sure how you could do that.
If you have the suite, I'd suggest just bringing your own beverages and sticking them in the fridge, the mug won't really be worth it for you. Unless you just want it for a souvenir, like me =)

They have decaf and regular tea bags. Just the general type. If you like a particular tea, bring your own bags and get the hot water there. There is no BREWED TEA. But it is available all day. Like all beverages.

Honestly, if you are not a big soda, hot chocolate or coffee drinker, the mugs aren't a HUGE value. I like them as a souveneir and it pays for me, as I drink sodas. If you have a room that has a coffee maker you can make your own hot water.

Just my 2 cents.

I will bring my own goodies for the room . It is supposed to have a maker in it. Just going to bring my own sweetnlow and creamer. But when we leave for the morning I would like to filol the mug up for the road and use their things. I think I will buy a jug of that premade unsweet tea and put it in the fridge. Like hot chocolate so it will be worth the buying. How late do they stay open to get refills??? all star music

I think the food courts generally stay open til midnight.
The mugs are great for things like morning coffee and evening hot chocolate, but they're a pain to carry around the parks.

I still have my re-fillable mug from my last trip in 2000 when I stayed at All-Star music. :) It was great, I got a nice, hot mug of hot chocolate every morning. Gave me a great boost before my journey into the parks. :D

When I go next year, I'll probably get one of the new YoaMD ones. :)

a kind gentleman gave us his cup as he was leaving the day after we got there, so we bought another one, although they are a good idea i think you should be allowed to refil in the parks too. I hate the fact too that they dont have milk just cream...yuk but what i did was buy a carton of milk put some milk in the cup then fill up with coffee, and the same with hot choc, be careful tho at time the hot choc is very sweet noo need for sugar, but one time it was awful.....lol

The Family Suites at All Star Music have a small (4 cup I think) coffeepot.

Here is a photo link:

They also come with coffee packs ---decaf and regular and creamer and sugar packs as well as tea bags.
Housekeeping should
replenish these
daily but if you need more you can just call for more.

Here is a photo of the coffee and tea caddy that is in the Family Suiites.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Here a link to a thread which has my review of the Family Suites complete with lots of photos. Post #7:

Nobody mentioned the frozen cokes (icees/slurpies/whatever you call it). I can vouch for Pop, they have the frozen icee slurpie things. I think the flavors were coke and something blue.

The mugs aren't really worth it for me. We have them. I like to use them at home. But for the refills it's not worth it because I didn't find it convenient. In the mornings I wouldn't bring them for a drink to go because then I'd be stuck holding the mugs all day long (4 of them). In the evenings on our way back in we were tired. Who wants to hike all the way back to the room to fetch mugs for the group? Again, we wouldn't use them. Plus, I'm kind of a clean freak and can't stand to reuse the same mugs over and over without washing them at least once a day. So after I'm tired at night, ready to go to bed, I'm still standing at the sink washing the %$#@! mugs. I don't find them convenient. We do better bringing drinks, milk, and a small coffee pot with us. We're much more apt to grab our own drinks on our way out the door. Plus, if you add up how much it cost me to buy a case of Dasani, a case of Dr.Pepper, a gallon of milk, 100 packs of splenda, some Sunny D bottles, and a cheap coffee pot I still didn't spend the $52 I would have on the mugs. Plus, I brew Starbucks coffee. The stuff they serve in the machines is pretty icky.

It all depends on what's convenient for you and if you're a soda drinker. :)

your right they arent really worth the money, but we used to got down in the morn and have a coffee before we left, some mornings we would fill one with coffee and one with juice for the kids as they were way to big for one person, unless you like over loading with caffine :ROFLOL:then on a night wed have hot chocolate for the four of us (that is if the shop was open by the time we got back, closed way too early in my opinion :( ) i realy dont think we would of bought two of them.

It really depends on the individual. We buy four and use them quite a bit. We each fill them twice during a meal/visit. Two cups of coffee or tea in the morning for the DH & I, hot chocolate or juice for the kids and then sodas or iced tea in the afternoons and evenings. That is eight drinks per visit - 3 or 4 visits /day over the course of our vacation...they pay for us.

My DGF and I shared a mug when we were there last week. I believe we did 8 -10 refills a day. I just attached it to my backpack when we went to the parks. I do miss the older larger cheaper mugs though, not the 12.49 travel mugs they have now. (Although I saw plenty of old bugs being refilled at the resorts)

Actually, at POP, they have the tea bags for hot tea and fresh brewed tea. I drink iced tea and it is pretty good. Fresh lemons to go with it along with splenda. The brewed tea is found at just one spot by the sodas and not at every machine. But, it is there!
