From the picture posted, I see that there is a bigger mug and a slimmer refillable mugs at Pop Century Hotel. Is the big one for soft drinks/cold drinks only? The slimmer one for hot drinks?

Mostly will need a refillable mug for coffee, but believe I can refill on other drinks too.

Right now there is only one size mug to purchase - the slimmer style. We just stayed at the Pop Century about a week and half ago - and the mugs are all the same size and color (3 different color lids to choose from). The mugs have the YOMD banner and Mickey, Minnie along with a couple of other characters I can't remember.

The mugs are for hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fountain drinks and frozen cokes - when the machine is working! Which was 2 days out of 8 while we were there. )

We do have the two different size mugs from a previous trip - and each of the mugs hold the same amount. The big difference between the mugs is one is a travel mug which will fit in cup holders in a vehicle and other will not.

I miss the resort specific ones. It was fun to collect them.

I agree. Our Wilderness Lodge ones are all beat up from constant use!! And the ones we got this past spring at the Poly are the non-cupholder sized ones, so those aren't good for taking coffee to work. With my luck I'd spill it all over myself  . I guess next year I'll have to get one of the generic ones, but I miss the resort specific ones, too!

The mugs were $11.99(plus tax) when we went in April, and stayed at Pop. I was hoping to get the Pop resort tye-dyed mug but, they only had the YOMD mugs. We got the slimmer ones but, they actually hold the same amount of liquid as the other ones. I think the slimmer ones are better because they actually fit in the cup holders in my car!

Does anyone actually use these enough to get you moneys worth? I just don't feel like I used mine enough during my tip last year! I never wanted to walk back and forth for a soda!

In a five-day trip I've usually managed to get my money's worth, just in coffee first thing in the morning...

But even if I only filled it once, I'd still get two [DS and myself] - good souvenir.

what is the price of a coffee or tea? That will determine if it's worth it or not, since that's all I will be drinking in the morning.

those mugs are def worth it for the 12.99 seeing as a the price for food and beverages is high down there and having the mug gives you the freedom to just walk right in gets soem soda and come back later to get more my family definitly gets there moneys worth with those down there

I think coffee and soft drinks are $1.99. We stay a week or more, so they definitely save money. I use them at home all year, and even bring them into restaurants because the coffee mugs they provide with no lids don't keep coffee hot.

You can only use them at your resort, correct?

I am not sure if it would be worth it for me then because we don't have children and barely spend any time at our resort. I don't drink coffee and most likely wouldn't want soda in the morning. So I am just not sure...I think if they were still resort specific I would have gotten one for a souvenier tho.

Yes, they can only be used at your resort during your current stay. I would agree with you though, if I didn't need (yes, need) coffee every morning (and possibly some cocoa at night :slurp:) and they only had the YOMD ones, I wouldn't get one either. I was lucky in February to get one of the last resort specific ones for ASMovies.

Yeah we always eat lunch and dinner at the parks so we would only be around the resort for breakfast, or maybe snacks after the parks close, and with me not drinking coffee, the only other option would be pop. But this is a must have for coffee drinkers.

The iced tea down there is fresh brewed, and very good. They supply sweetner and fresh sliced lemon. I try not to drink sodas. Anyway, on my last trip, I got up before everyone else, so I would take the cup to fill it up, walk around and look at merchandise, and by the time I was done, time to refill again. Did the same thing in the evenings, if we made it back to the resort before closing. And, we ate breakfast a few times in the POP cafe, and refilled it several times during each meal. Most definitely worth the money.

I definitely got my moneys worth buying those mugs. I tend to drink a lot and would usually refill it around 3-5 times each time I went down to the hall. It was great.
