Intersection of I-4 and 535I'm not familiar with where that was and google isn't helping me.

When I was there one hot humid summer RC paramedics were treating several fellow guests different areas in the park what seemed to be like heat exhaustion. July weather at MK is no joke. One thing that will definitely change is EMS. RCID people would treat and if needed, transport you to a hospital free of charge. If the county is in charge, you'll get charged hundreds or more for the same free service. Guess you better hope you don't need to use it while you are there.
Yep and none of those guests would ever see a bill for that service. Even if they were transported to the hospital they would not owe Reedy Creek a dime. When I was there one hot humid summer RC paramedics were treating several fellow guests different areas in the park what seemed to be like heat exhaustion. Because the fact is its no big deal to the tourists, that major industry of the area. In no way did I diminish the fact what happens to the RCID is an issue for the locals. My other point whether anyone likes it or not is everything is going to continue to function whether or not RCID exists or not. How well is what remains to be seen.So why do you keep going on about how it’s no big deal if the District goes away because tourists won’t notice?
Maybe Chapek could sell emergency services insurance through Genie+One thing that will definitely change is EMS. RCID people would treat and if needed, transport you to a hospital free of charge. Are you ever going to answer the original questions?Because the fact is its no big deal to the tourists, that major industry of the area. You know this is actually a serious matter with serious consequences for millions of taxpayers and guests.Maybe Chapek could sell emergency services insurance through Genie+
Thanks, I never would have noticed that was gone just looking at Google. (Or about to be gone, whatever it is.)
Not just EMS.Yep and none of those guests would ever see a bill for that service. Even if they were transported to the hospital they would not owe Reedy Creek a dime.
It’s not just Orange and Osceola. There are other districts being dissolved as part of this as well. Collateral damage to provide a half hearted pretense.I strongly suspect that when the dust settles, RCID will exist pretty much the same as before.
But meanwhile, the people of Orange County are being needlessly dragged through the ringer.
Reedy Creek a few years ago ? definitely made a statement when fire trucks, ambulances drove right down Main St USA MK one night in front of bewildered guests filming them . Apparently there was an incident near the Castle.Yep and none of those guests would ever see a bill for that service. Even if they were transported to the hospital they would not owe Reedy Creek a dime.
Wow what a nice thing they did for you!Not just EMS.
Centra care pickup at the parks. Last year my wife had her tree nut allergy triggered at the Plaza with an undeclared allergen. This caused a trip to First aid. After they stabilized her with liquid Benadryl, the Centra Care van was called to take us to their center on 535 to be seen by a Doctor. Got to see the backside of Main street and Adventureland. I asked the driver if we are going to have to pay for this shuttle trip and his response was "Complements of Disney". They also gave us a ride back to main parking when we were done.
It was part of RCID years ago when Disney owned Crossroads. When they sold it, they de-annexed it. The state bought it to fix the traffic backups onto I-4 from the 535 off ramp to Disney. They also need it for earth fill to widen I-4. So it will be partly interchange ramps, any partly ponds. Thanks, I never would have noticed that was gone just looking at Google. (Or about to be gone, whatever it is.)
I can definitely see how someone could build an I-4 west exit there directly into Hotel Plaza Blvd for better traffic flow than the 535 north exit.
If the wikipedia map posted earlier is correct, that land is NOT part of RCID. It's close, right on the edge, but outside when zoomed in.
Ding ding ding 🛎 🛎 We have a winnerI strongly suspect that when the dust settles, RCID will exist pretty much the same as before.

The union the RCID cast pay union dues to would be happy with thatI strongly suspect that when the dust settles, RCID will exist pretty much the same as before.

Now to your point about punching back and now it's quiet, I think there's a huge opportunity here. I had a CEO who I think highly of and he said to me "everybody's sort of nervous. What does this mean?" I said here's what it means: this is a huge opportunity for you and your business. The next time some employee says or some radical on the fringe that has nothing to do with your core business, comes after you, you get to say "we're going to stay in our lane. we're going to stay to our mission... We're not going to start dictating to the legislature. We're going to be making sure we're not getting into a false narrative and misleading parents." So my hope is that the corporate CEOs and boardrooms in Florida use this as an opportunity to say "guys guess what? We get to get back to business and focus on our core mission."
