Not sure what Lassiter would change if he was still around, he was all for IP especially Pixar. He did after all push to revive a failed ride system with Pixar IP in the Flying Tires. They’re not going to let people get too attached to anything non IP again.
Lassiter is sorely missed
What does this have to have Lassiter? They’re not going to let people get too attached to anything non IP again.

It was a piece of a larger project to make this failing park a success with great attractions and attention to detail. And a little Disney magic and non IP infusion. Let’s not pretend that’s not trueCan’t wait for my Twitter feed for the next week being people pretending that the trolley has always been a critical part of their Magical DCA Day.
I gotta say I don’t think that’s true at all. It was a copy paste of the main Street vehicle concept because the original version of the park had very little to do other than shopping and eating and so they added this so they could call it a ride. it was neat sure I won’t say it wasn’t neat, but I think it’s really disingenuous to pretend there was ever some grand vision behind it other than it was something to do for the bad park they’d just built. It was a piece of a larger project to make this failing park a success with great attractions and attention to detail. Pretending? The RCT is the Mark Twain of DCA.Can’t wait for my Twitter feed for the next week being people pretending that the trolley has always been a critical part of their Magical DCA Day.
This one? In hindsight it was pretty clearly supposed to be a Web Slingers ride vehicle.Does anyone remember that weird concept art they released that made it look like the trolley would be undergoing some kind of crazy looking spiderman retheme?
You can’t be serious.Pretending? The RCT is the Mark Twain of DCA.
Regardless, it added a NICE touch to the park.I gotta say I don’t think that’s true at all. Except it was only added 12 years ago as part of the beginning of the "big fix" for DCA.Just because something was there when the park opened does not make it essential. The park it was designed for thankfully no longer exists and even then were only there so they could lie about how many rides that park actually had.
Do you think the RCT are from 2001?You can’t be serious.
They were an afterthought copy paste of something that already existed over at Disneyland in a different form form that most people have no sentimental attachment to. Sure I will relent that some probably do and some probably really love this.
But let’s not act like these trolleys are to the this park what the Mark Twain is to Disneyland. The closest comparison to Disneyland would be the main street vehicles and nothing more.
