Recycled Disney

It's interesting to see that much of the music at Disney is not actually Disney's and other music is reused from other different attractions or movies.

Here's a few examples:

SSE: the finale music, prior to the current version, was based off of Bach's Sinfonia 2 in C Major

Fountain of Nations:
this features quite a bit of non-Disney and "other" Disney music.
-Standing in Motion by Yanni
-Day One by John Tesh
-Main Title Theme from The Rescuers Down Under
-Air Battle from Epcot's Surprise in The Skies fireworks show
-Unamed Song from Iron Will
-Flying Circus from The Rocketeer
-Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand from WDW's 2000 Celebration

Disney Cruise Line: A couple shows on board feature some really old WDW music.
-Remember the Magic from WDW 25th Anniversary is part of their finale stage show
-Mickey Mania from MK's Mickey Mania Parade is featured in their family trivia show

I know there are plenty more. Post what you know

Disney does this a lot. The show Disneyland is Your Land/Disney World is Your World has played in pretty much every Disney Park worldwide, including a stint as D-Pop Magic at Tokyo Disneyland. The previous Disney Dreams Come True Parade included music from two different versions of Tokyo's Disney Dreams on Parade. Most of Dream-Along with Mickey was borrowed from a very strange Tokyo show. Villians Mix and Mingle uses music from Disneyland Paris' Halloween shows. Furthermore, Disneyland's new-ish fireworks show, "Magical," uses music from Epcot's SplashTacular, which was originally a Tokyo Show as well.

They also do this on DVD's. I think that at the beginning of the movies, even before the previews/coming attractions, they have a Disney movie commercial, where it starts off with Jack Sparrow saying "we have our heading" and Peter Pan saying "here we go!," the music in the background is from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, a Warner Bros. film.

That same small snippet of music is also used in the logo for Morgan Creek.

Heres a bunch from Disneyland

Halloween Screams uses Hallowishes but cuts out the ghost host, Madam Leota, and the stupid doorbell rings. In there place Jack Skellington and Zero open and close the show and its performed with Never Smile and Hellfire.

Remember...Dreams Come True opens and closes with Wishes. Both are modified a bit including the opening so Tink can fly along side Walt's speech.

Celebrate! A Street Party
and Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! share opening and closing songs (Pumpin Up the Party and Celebrate You! non Corbin Bleu version)

Block Party Bash- "Do You Wanta Dance" is also heard in Celebrate! A Street Party.

Pixar Play Parade has a re-worked soundtrack from HKDL's Mickey's Waterworks Parade instead of "rain rain" its "play play", and the individual floats have modified versions to fit each float

Doesn't get played that much anymore, but Marty Robbins' "El Paso", used to be played quite a bit in Frontierland....
BTW, that YouTube video was interesting, I would've brushed it off as most of those movies were around the same decade, but when it incorporated a few clips here and there from other movies, maybe there's a little recycling going on, or as it's called nowadays.."creative sampling"!?

Guess you're referring to this clip?

We were watching Robin Hood the other night and remembered this
Very cool clip. Riobin Hood and The Aristocats were the two animated films released just following Walt's death, at a time when the Company was having difficulty with finding a creative direction. Presumably the extensive re-use of animation cycles was a literal answer to the question "What Would Walt Do?"

I'm pretty sure this doen't happen quite as often any more, though I think both Black Cauldron and Home on the Range re-used animation.

I knew about the fact that, because of the small budget, Robin Hood recycled a lot of animation, including the model for Little John, which was based of course on Baloo. However, the Beauty and the Beast one at the end caught me off guard. I knew even when I was a kid that Sir Hiss was based on Kaa, however, I think that the comparison of footage shows that the video doesn't seem to be actually lifted, which is surprising.

As for Fronteirland, the music is mostly, if not completely taken from country music. There might be some taken from the rides in the land, but if not, its all actual country songs. I noticed this in my last visit, where I found myself singing along, although I can only remember at the time Johnny Cash's classic "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky" at the moment. I'm pretty sure they played the theme to Bonanza as well. I can't remember the others. Nevertheless, the entire Fronteirland score appears to be "borrowed". Can anyone provide a list of songs?

The queue music in Soarin' and the Land pavilion in general uses a lot of different movie themes, including a few John Williams songs, like themes from E.T. and Always
