Recommendations for a Disney hotel please

Thanks everyone. Some options to chew on there which I'm grateful for.

Just to clear up I'm not loaded - I just don't like to work from lowest option up. Look at the best then go down in price if required is how I like to book places :)

Thanks again x
If you want to step down to a Moderate, CBR is centrally located. Smaller rooms than "Deluxe" hotels, of course. All the Disney rooms are smaller than typical rooms you'd find elsewhere for the same price.

All the Disney hotels are kept in the same state of cleanliness, so if you want to stay in the bubble, you can just scratch that from the list. They'll all be the same.

All Deluxe and Moderate Resorts are clean, spacious, and fun. So that's a tie.

But convenience and centrality seem of paramount importance to you. Therefore I suggest an Epcot Resort. Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, and Swan & Dolphin are smack dab in the middle of the World with boat, bus, and walkway transport options.

Caribbean Beach is the Epcot Moderate also just a short bus ride to all destinations.

I am surprised with all of the MK Resort recommendations. Having stayed at the Poly, bus rides to MGM, Animal Kingdom, water parks, and DownTown Disney were exceptionally long. And a monorail transfer to get to Epcot can be a hassle too. Sure it was convenient to get to MK, but that was about it.

I notice it is not so much the cleanliness of the rooms, but rather the wear and tear of the rooms. The rooms are typically very clean when I walk in, but the shoe marks on the walls, worn carpets, chipped furniture, and stains show that either Guests treat rooms pretty poorly or that management does not upkeep rooms as well as in the earlier years.

It's probably a combination of both, ya think?

They are all great, I just dont care for any of the value ones. All the mods are great, just themed a little different.Personally the deluxes are overpriced, just cant spend 400 to 7000 a night, thats stupid. Ifeel you cant go wrong with any of the mods.

If you are planning on spending more of your time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, pick one of the Epcot resorts (Yacht/Beach, Boardwalk). If you go there a lot in the evenings, it's definitely worth it. If you are planning on spending the majority of your time at MK, then one of the monorail resorts is best. Personally, I like Contemporary. It's within walking distance to MK.

Go with Yacht Club. You can walk to Epcot or DHS (or take a water taxi). The Boardwalk is just on the other side of the lake. Has AMAZING pools - sand bottom, slide, lazy river, hot tubs. It's quite gorgeous and very relaxing, might I add. I think it's better than Beach Club. It has an excellent steakhouse, but also more casual options (Cape May, Captain's Grille). Beaches & Cream is a nostalgic 50s diner. There's also an arcade. Just so much to do, beautiful scenery, great amenities, and prime location.

Just a thought....centrally located, some of the largest rooms (sq footage wise) on property, and possible to get a good deal - Old Key West. Look online about renting points from a DVC member and you can get a pretty good deal - Deluxe at Moderate price. If you request a room near the Hospitality House, the bus rides to the parks are all pretty decent. The return bus will take a little longer as the Hospitality House is the last stop. You also can boat to DTD, which is a relaxing family favorite for us.

While the monorail resorts and Boardwalk area resorts are nice, they all suffer from at least one quite long bus ride to one of the parks. The combination busses for Boardwalk/Y&B Club/Swan&Dolphin can make those trips quite difficult in busier times. Moderate-wise, Caribbean Beach is centrally located, but transportation is sometimes an issue if you are in the more outlying areas.

Most important -
Ease to parks (doesn't have to be as near as Contemporary or Polynesian but no more than a 15 min bus ride for instance)
As above for Downtown Disney
Cleanliness
Decent size room

Not bothered about -
Food (other than good breakfast option)
Character prescence
Cost (can save enough for right place)

Thanks y'all ;)
YC or BC...actually anywhere on the boardwalk I think is the best place to be. The Boardwalk at night is amazing, so many great restaurants, a walk or boat ride away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios plus if you want to go to MK just wake up walk through Epcot catch soarin or test track while the wait time is low and then jump on the monorail to MK!!!
