Recent E-Ride Nights?

It seems that, in the last 5 days, MK has held its first two e-ride nights since August, '02 (with the possible exception of one around Thanksgiving).

Has anyone attended these? How have they been? Are the open attractions the ones typically listed?

I'm especially interested in whether Timekeeper is open, since it seems to be open so rarely, but is included in almost everyone's list of the usual e-night rides.

Also, now that it appears that the 3/14/03 e-night ride is cancelled, has anyone heard any explanation as to why, or whether any other nights may also be cancelled?

Thanks for any insights you might have!

Seeing that no one had responded to my questions, I found this on another message board, which might interest others who are looking forward to e-ride nights in the near future (although the following doesn't bode well):

"E-Ride night on Feb. 18th was the most unorganized disappointing E-Ride night we had experienced. The park closed at 8:00 - and E-Ride night went til 11:00, however there were SO MANY people in the park without wristbands trying to get on rides, standing in line, not understanding that they weren't allowed. People fighting to see the characters. CM's were trying their hardest to explain this to people and they just didn't get it. We ended up leaving around 10:15 because it was still as busy as ever. We stopped by guest relations not really to complain -but to let them know what was happening around the rides, food areas, characters, etc..."

Any other/different experiences from 2/18/03 -- or from 2/21/03? I hope it gets better than this soon!

I think the reason the 3-14 one was cut was because of the poor attendance. Disney expects low crowds that week, and already has one E-ride night. I guess they figure that will be plenty.

I can't speak for the Feb E-Nights but I was at the one held this past November. The rides that were open were the ones you always see listed. - No Timekeeper. This was my first E-Ride night and I loved it. It was like having the park to yourself.

I understand that all March e-ride nights have been cancelled.

Yikes!

Mhead, may I ask where you heard that? I just called WDW and asked about the two previously scheduled e-ride nights during my trip (i.e., 3/25 and 3/28). As of now (1:30 pm CST), they remain on the schedule.

Is your information that the remaining March nights are GOING TO BE cancelled? What level of confidence do you have in the info?

I'd be glad for any further light you can shed on this (if you can't tell, I'm a bit anxious on this subject).

Thanks much to you -- and to anyone else with info on coming e-ride nights.

The other March e-ride nights HAVE NOT been canceled! All except for March 14 are going on AS PLANNED. Until WDWMagic or wdwig.com reports it, do not believe it!

Thanks! That's what my info so far shows (although www.wdig.com is still showing 3/14 as an e-ride night).

I see that various WDW planning/info Web sites list e-ride dates, but I've never been able to figure out where they get this info, since it doesn't appear to be on Disney's official site. Does Disney issue this news in its resort flyers, is that it?

Anyway, I would still love to hear from those who have attended this months e-ride nights (including tonite's). I hope they are going more smoothly than reported for the 2/18 night (see a few posts above).

I also attended the Feb 18th E-ride. While the park was more crowded than other E-ride nights I didn't personally see the people without wristbands trying to get on- and if it did happen, it wasn't that big a problem. Overall, I had a great time- I even got to stay on Splash Mountain without getting off. However, the wait for BTMRR and Space Mountain were 15 minutes for most of the night. Everything else was pretty much walk-on ( didn't get to HM). The one downside was that Space Mountain was down toward the end of the night. The characters I think was a new addition (correct me if I'm wrong) and the lines were not that bad. When Mickey was going on break, I got to shake his hand without waiting in line.

As far as Timekeeper goes, it was closed all week (as was CoP0 and did not reopen for E-ride. Overall, I had a great time and it was worth the extra 12 bucks. Thats about all I can think of, but I'll be glad to answer any other questions you might have.;)

We're going to be at WDW during that same time for those e-ride nights and Im counting on them

I have never been to an eride night and this is something I greatly look forward to. I can only imagine having the park to ourselves (pretty much).

I apologize for any confusion! It was my understanding that all March E-Rides had been cancelled but it was just the March 14th date. I was told March E-Rides and assumed it was all - of course if attendance hasn't picked up they wil cancel them all - this has happened to me TWICE before! I hope you are all able to make an E-Ride night though - as I said before it is WELL worth it!

Thanks, everyone for your thoughts & good wishes.

I'm holding my breath and keeping my fingers crossed (and typing was hard enough already).

btw, anyone with anything to report on the 2/21 or 2/25 e-ride nights (It's already been 1.5 hours since the end of the latter)?

Thanks again!

I really hope they dont cancel the one for the 11th. Ive never been to an E-ride night and I'm really looking forward to it. Especially since the parks close at 7pm every night that week!

Yeah, saw your post -- thanks. I just thought I others may have attended subsequent nights & could comment on those.
