I just read that MK has opened the park at 8 am for everyone for the entire time we are there! It also said that Disney only does this when they are expecting records crowds!! We are there from the 9th until the 16th and are sooo hoping this is not true! Anyone else worried or am I overreacting??:(

No reason to stress over things you can't change, especially things like theme parks opening early. Stop stressing. Deep breaths. In with the good, out with the bad. :)

Go. Have fun.

Don't Worry, Be Happy!

Exactly what I was going to say! :P

Having a solid plan means that I don't worry about things like crowds. I get to the parks at rope drop and I know exactly what I want to see each day.

you have been planning this trip for a while now. You will be fine.

I suspect this is because the 8th and 9th are days when all of New Jersey public schools are closed for some teacher thing and in the past many families from NJ decide to go to WDW... You might be in luck this year though with the storm causing problems in NJ there is a chance that some of the people that were going to go might not go anymore... So if you want you can take pleasure in someone else's pain... Then again, I wouldn't worry that much, if you plan out the popular rides you want you should still be able to ride everything you want.

Don't stress about crowds. Too many people worry about that. We just go to te parks and do what we can. When crowds are heavy, we get fast passes for rides we want to do, go on attractions with shorter times (they are there) and just enjoy the day. We can't control the crowds but we can control how much we enjoy the day. We always enjoy being in Dsney parks and what we miss doing we can do another time.

The extra hours were added for time slots for the added AP preview of fantasyland dates. No other parks added extra hours after they released the added AP times. Its not a crowd thing but Disney trying to open up enough time slots for all AP holders.

When you say " open for everyone " are you referring to people who are staying offsite? If that is the case, then yes, panic, and please send your holiday documents & park tickets to C/O The Real Mad Hatter, the wee hoose, west coast of scotland.;)

I believe it said that MK is open to everyone not just Resorts guests. I would much rather be extremely crowded than take pleasure in anyone elses heartache as Thomas998 put out there:mad: I pray that EVERYONE from NJ will be able to make it!

Everything I've read has said this is all about the AP preview date updates. Don't get me wrong...I'm not exactly happy that my pre-park opening BBB appointment on Nov 18th is now at park opening, but I can't do anything about it...so just rolling with it and making sure to plan more for touring just in case crowds are crazy.

We'll be there, too... Nov 10-17. As everyone else pointed out, it is what it is. I hate the crowds, but there really isn't much of an "off season" anymore (with some exceptions, of course). So, as others have said, as long as you plan ahead, then just try to go with the flow. Also, however, if it's only a day or two that MK is opening early, if you can, don't go to MK on those particular days. If possible, go to other parks on those days. But, if it's every day, then just try to find a quiet spot every now and then to get away from it all. I love finding those nooks-and-crannies (i.e., near the Pirates exit, the spot near the Toll House counter service on one side of Cindy's castle and the walkway behind Cindy's castle on the other side, toward Tomorrowland, etc.).

Yea it maybe less crowded. We got hit pretty hard here in Jersey. Luckily I sustained only minor damages, unfortunately there were done very hard hit areas. It's very sad.
