Reagan Inaugural Address at EPCOT

I really don't get the thing that Obama is supposed to be such a fantastic public speaker. I just don't see it. Compare him and Reagan in those videos, and Reagan is just so much better at it. And I don't mean that politically either. I'd say the same thing about Bill Clinton. Just so much more naturally charismatic than Obama, IMHO.

Reagan didn't need teleprompters either!

I was there. Standing about where the Mexican merchandise stand on the Promenade was as the Motorcade inched by. Nancy looked at me and smiled and waved and it truly made me feel great. They played the entire speech/ceremony over the PA. ... I found out about 15 years ago that Nancy frequented a dining and drinking location in the LA area that I did as well. I recall the bartender telling me I just missed her on at least 3-4 occasions as I really wanted to meet her and tell her that tale.

That was when Disney did great things. Big things. ... things beyond timeshares and cupcakes.

Even Reagan's AA in the Hall of Presidents is more naturally charismatic than Obama. :D

Just a joke, folks.

(But seriously, the Obama AA looks awful. Doesn't resemble him in the least. Is it just me?)

Don't forget also Reagan was an actor ... he had speaking skills. And as long as we are throwing great speakers out there, I'd say JFK was a great one too. Some people just have the talent or training.

Thanks @englanddg for posting. Hadn't seen this before.
Odd that they used the makeshift stage and not just the one in the existing amphitheater.

Folks, please try to adhere to the non political talk rules of the forum. Don't give the "In Before The Lock" posting crowd a reason to smile.
