Retheme- rocking rc. To tron I know I'm not the first but how cool would it be to see your light trail
On the track you already rode.
Referb- carousel of progress to make the end scene more today.
Close- tomorrow land motor speedway. Do much room there to expand Tomorrowland with more of that buck Rogers feel.
Open- a Star Wars dark coaster either a speeder bike or x wings and tie fighters. Blasting through endor would be great. Dodging laser fire in an x wing would be fun with a second launch halfway through as a light speed jump

Tomorrowland Speedway was originally on my list as one to close but a solid refurb would also be acceptable!Great thread!

Retheme - remove the Depp from POTC. not hating on the Depp, but its just not needed.
Refurbish - EE. Never seen the Yeti in action, and I really want to.
Close - I have to go with Speedway only because its a noxious cloud of underutilized space.
Create - A completely modernized and cutting edge dark ride called....wait for it....MR. TOAD'S WILD RIDE 2: THE RETURN OF J. THADDEUS TOAD, ESQ.!!!!

Retheme- The entire "Future World" of Epcot- IMO there is nothing "futuristic" about any of it. You can keep many of the attractions with minor changes, just an entire new theme. Many of the buildings aren't used and there is much that can be added there.
Refurbish: The Backlot Area including Honey I Shrunk The Kids play area
Close: AIE
Create: More moderate hotels

Re-theme: I'd bring Imagination back to it's glory days and BRING BACK DREAMFINDER!!!!
Refurb: Great Movie Ride. Add some other classics in there and possibly re-do the ending movie.
Close: America Idol Experience. I can think of MUCH better family friendly rides to go in there (and we all know HS is in need of those family rides!!)
Create: More classic dark rides similar to PPF, Mr. Toad and Snow White, except with better AA's. The Little Mermaid ride is a step in the right direction but I'd go with something like Alice In Wonderland or Aladdin or even Mary Poppins.

Retheme: Stich goes back to Alien Encounter though, honestly, Ellen really needs an update as well.
Refurbish: Is Tikiroom still full of broken figures? If so that. The only three rides with notable issues my last visit were that, Splash and Small World. Splash has since been fixed and I imagine SW gets regular care.
Close: American Idol unless that doesn't even count as an attraction anymore. If so then I guess either Circle of Life or Aladdin, neither does anything for me.
Create: Indiana Jones ride in Adventureland.

Re-Theme: Tomorrowland Speedway. Move it to Back Lot tour area of DHS and Theme it after CARS.Use the current speedway space for something new.
Refurbish: Universe of Energy. So many "facts" in the show are no longer 100% accurate.
Close: SFR Tree House and Jungle Cruise. It's 2013, there's a LOT of space there that can be used for NEW ideas.
Create: A 5th gate!

Re-theme: Speedway ... It's not futuristic at all and needs to be enhanced a lot. The line is always full so I wouldn't say to close it. Just enhance it to make it more "Tomorrow"
Refurb: EE - Come on, I want that yeti arm swingin!

Retheme: All of Future World in EPCOT. All of it. If someone wanted to make a case to save a little money, they could maybe keep open TT2.0.

Create: I'll go with Star Wars land. Turn the Tron Cycle ride concept into a Speeder-Bike ride coaster, or I guess one of the Uni-style ride-with-screen jobs if needed. I'd rather it be through real trees, but I'll take what I can get. X-wing/Tie fighter dueling spinners, with Buzz style guns and realstic looking battle damage when you score a hit on an opposing fighter, this could be indoors to enhance the experience. Mos Eisley Cantina. Indoor Jedi Academy. One or two more C-D tickets (a Mater-style Pod-Racer or something maybe?)

I'm a little shocked at all the speedway responses! Is it dated? It's classic! There's a fine line between dated and classic. Could it smell less funky? Sure, that'd be nice. But it's so classic Disney to take your kid on that the way my dad took me many years ago.
Re-theme: SGE, without a doubt. I get angry just walking past that ride! Stitch has a breakfast at the Polynesian, he's good. Give someone else a chance. The moon, mars, pick a planet (old days!). Or Wall-E?? He's at least Tomorrowland-y.
Re-furb: River Country. Yes, I know...algae, fungus, no way it'll happen, too expensive to fix...ok, ok. But what an EYESORE! Wipe it out if you're not gonna refurb it! That thing in its current state gives me nightmares!! But oh, do I miss it. Good times.
Honorable mention: Wonders of Life! Again, creepy just sitting there. C'mon, guys!

Re-Theme: Mama Rosa's into the Mickey Mouse Club Canteen. I mean vintage Mickey Mouse Club; we're talking Annette Funicello, not Britney Spears. With state-of-the-art AAs of Mickey and the gang providing the entertainment. Hey there, hi there, ho there, you're as welcome as can be!
Refurbish: Everest. Fix the damn yeti already.
Close: American Idol.
Create: A fantastic Sugar Rush raceway from "Wreck-it-Ralph". Not a simulator, but an outdoor ride. Could be scrumptiously awesome.

Great question. It's hard to pick just one thing because so much needs work. It also feels wrong to answer anything besides EPCOT and DHS attractions since those are clearly the two parks in the most trouble, even as Magic Kingdom could really use an E-ticket and Animal Kingdom needs another solid land so I have more than like 4 things to do there (and NOT Avatar!).
Re-theme: I always feel like they could do something fun with the Sounds Dangerous building. It just stands there as a reminder of Disney's complacency. I always liked the radio-like aspect of thatshow; I say expand it into something fun and innovative celebrating the golden age of radio, which was very much a part of Hollywood in the 30s. And that's probably only my idea since Disney is quite reasonably aware that nobody gives a crap about the golden age of radio! [I respect Stitch's Great Escape as a response, its an awful ride, but Alien Encounter wasn't too hot either. I think you need to start from scratch there. I also don't think there is any way to restore Imagination to a place where it makes anybody happy so as sad as it is I would vote to demolish the whole thing and start fresh, nostalgic baggage cast aside.]
Refurb: Maelstrom. I'm talking a totally transformative refurb. Its current version is sad.
Runners up: (1) They also made a lot of errors with the last Spaceship Earth refurb. With so many things in need of more work at the parks its a low priority but man, it bums me out.
(2) I adore Carousel of Progress, on a good day its my favorite thing in the MK, but yeah, that last scene makes you cringe no matter how many times you've seen it. Update please
Close: Hard to choose just one, but the Backlot Tour. There's so much space there. I'd say the stupid DHS hat, but its not really an attraction.
Runners up: American Idol, which I've never even bothered to try. There's so little at DHS, they can't afford to have an attraction open with no value whatsoever, yet, there it is.
Create: ANY pavilion, I don't even care what the theme is, for EPCOT Future World. Something like Wonders of Life but obviously more state of the art. Need a thrill ride in there. I'd like an innovative restuarant too; Future World is a food no-man's-land in addition to a fun no-man's land.

. I wouldn't mind some more Indy stuff either. I wouldn't mind them closing the show and replacing it with rides, but I understand they use it for dance competitions. Re-theme: Hmm. That's a tough one. I still enjoy Rock n' Rollercoaster. Aerosmith is one of my favorite bands. So that one would be a no. I know Test Track just GOT rethemed, but I didn't like it. I'd cross it between the original and the new. Imagination. Don't know what I'd do with it, but something. Redo the Muppet 3D show.
Refurb: Probably what you said on that one too. Though I would miss it while it's down. Buzz seems to need it too. The last time I was there it looked run down and Buzz wasn't always working.
Close: Multiple ones. Mission: Space for starters. It needs an update (I guess you could count that under retheme). Ellen's Energy Adventure. Which my brother used to mispronounce and call Elementary Adventure. Probably Stitch. They can do better. I'm not a Stitch hater, but it's just not that good.
