Re-Imagineered Crush's Coaster for DPS?

Screamscape reports today an idea to introduce a rethemed Crush's Coaster (Cars themed) at the DPS around 2009, and I have to say it makes a whole lot of sense to me--it's something they could add quickly (and quick additions to counter Harry Potter are key), and I think it would be a fun attraction for the Studios. The only problem I foresee is capacity, since DPS sees almost 4x the attendance of WDSP. Knotts has a new spinning coaster with spinning car trains, however, which could alleviate that problem:

Equals DPS???

Quite possible. I believe Cars attractions are currently on the table for Studios. The two likely spots I've heard tossed around for it are the remains of the Backlot Tour or the Hunchback theatre. The theatre wouldn't hold a "mini-land", but the tour area would.

Please, just no more Pixar rides. No more Nemo rides for that matter either.

um...A) Pixar = Disney now, and B) WDW will soon have a park called Disney-Pixar Studios. Pretty sure we will see more Pixar rides. Especially since the DPS will only have one Pixar ride by next spring.

Pixar is Disney. It is also all they have had to offer lately. Saying no more Pixar rides would be like saying no more hand drawn based rides prior to Pixar. Really other than original concepts what else is there?

original concepts are nice, but DPS is a park dedicated to existing franchises, for the most part.

Exactly, they'll need to add more Pixar attractions in order to have it live up to the name Disney-Pixar Studios.

The strange Pixar haters can at least take solace in that the new Pixar stuff would start to get limited to one park instead of all of them. I hated the Pixar deal as well, too much money was spent. But now that its part of TWDC, I can't understand why people don't want them to build attractions on those properties.

Hopefully we'll get an incedibles attraction. some kind of emmersive simulator with a huge screens like sorin(where they pick you up and move you into the screen area.). with like 3 effects. (like spidy). I want the incedibles.

sounds cool...but expensive...and it has capacity issues. There are Incredibles projects under consideration, though.

That Crush coaster looks cool. But anything, and I mean anything (rides) that are being considered or added for MGM is fine by me. Hopefully a couple a nice coasters will be added.

yea i was very confused whith dps but i figured it out lol.

the haters of pixar are old school disney fans who dont want progress in my openion. every pixar movie is capable of making an outstanding ride or show (nemo show at animal kingdom best show of all the parks). as a true disney fan we need to embrace change. Walt hated things stagnet and always wanted to add or change things. he was never happy with the final product. by adding pixar they are just realizing walts dream's

sorry for the rant. dont mean to offend just my openions

First off, love the avatar. I'm a huge PSU fan.

Second. I agree. Pixar is Disney now. If it weren't for Pixar, they would have been making rides/attractions of Home on the Range, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Chicken Little, etc.

Sure they could make rides of the older animation classics, but we have that stuff already, plus you always want to keep things new and fresh and take advantage of the popular demand/interest in current things. Sure kids love the princesses and other classics, but they get really excited when they see a ride/attraction of a movie that just came out recently.

You need to keep things fresh to boost attendance, too, so when your last $200+ million hit was Aladdin, it is only natural to go to the mega hits of the Disney Pixar films.

So, I'm all for a The Incredibles attraction, as well as Cars. Both raked in $245+ million each domestically.

You gor it all mixed up... Pixar has Disney by the balls... Burbankwise...
Too much Pixar in the management...

Which is a very disturbing and bad thing... :(

I really hope a Cars section gets built in Florida. I've said many times before the Cars is my favorite Disney/Animated movie and I would love to have a Radiator Springs section in MGM.
