Maybe they are actually using a consolidator or direct contact?

Could be. Most people visiting from the US do not do this if traveling to WDW or DL. People traveling from overseas are more likely to use a tour company, which, as mentioned, can get better rates due to volume. If they don't "fill the rooms/plane" they just cancel the tour and rebook. Happened to us once when traveling overseas - we had to either alter our plans or just get our money refunded. But we knew that going in.

I have been trying to book a Feb, 2015 for a couple of weeks, and cant get a price. I am really upset that Disney, an American company, gives UK guests first pick and better deals than they do for the American guests. I waited last year, but by the time the rates came out (July 10 or 11 last year) some of the standard rooms at the deluxe resorts were all taken by the UK. This just makes me feel a little betrayed as an American that wants to visit Disney world again.
I don't understand it either the UK is even already offered specials such as free dinning and room discounts. When the US has to wait till 4-5months before our trip.
I wish i could book as a person from the UK visiting my family in the us and using their debit card

Like we mentioned a few times before. They might be using a big consolidator or tour company.
Have you tried to do the same from whiting the US?
Systems like GOGLOBAL, GOGOVACATION, , HOTELS PRO ..etc.. usually have such discounts from farther than a year.. also "fire sales" at random intervals with very nice discounts.

Have to admit have never tried to book a trip to WDW via just room then adding flights etc, I guess it is possible to do. But Virgin make it so easy to book everything flights, accommodation, tickets, dining plan etc all at once, and they do offer good deals if you book early, plus having booked so early I now I have to save like crazy to pay for it but hopefully plenty of time!
(But it does mean I am mega excited for over a year which according to my Brother is not a good thing!!)

I had not seen the big consolidator post yet when I replied to the other post. Although as I read on I started to understand more. I just do not like it! But fair isn't about everyone getting the same it is about everyone getting what they need or what works for them. And for reasons beyond me the UK being already able to access such discounts through disney is apparently what the UK needs. Again, I just don't like it. Ok! I've whined enough- I'm through.

Oh, and thank you for the tips I will look into those sights:)

I've been attempting to book a Feb. 2015 package myself. Did some digging and saw that Disney has released the next year's "Rack Rates" on the 2nd wednesday in July for the past 3 years. http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/

If the trend followed the past couple years, the rates should/would have been released on July 9. Since they weren't, I assumed that maybe it was due to July starting in the middle of a week this year. Maybe tomorrow? The 3rd Wednesday of the month? Just pure speculation :-)

Great. Wonder what the reason is for the delay in package pricing this year. Couldn't decide how many dollars to raise the DDP by?
