Ratatouille characters welcome in France?

IMO, France is currently one of the most popular pavilions in WS.

-Les Chefs de France
-Bistro de Paris
-Boulangerie Patisserie
-The wine stand and the crepe/ice cream stand
-A great selection of shops
-Impressions de France

There is so much to see, so much to do, and so much to eat. France does not need characters to be an excellent pavilion. Sure, sometimes you can meet Belle and the Beast. But it doesn't disturb the atmosphere of the pavilion.

I hope the characters of Ratatouille stay out of Epcot. Unlike the Living Seas (and they definitely took the Nemo thing too far), France does not need an injection of characters to be a popular pavilion.

Lemme guess...they're rats because they wouldn't assist us in our invasion of Iraq right? An unprovoked war of aggression based on fabricated evidence and flat out lies.

I bet you go through the drive through and order "freedom fries" too, right?

I'm not the one who dragged petty political squabbles into this in the first place. I just don't understand why, out of many countries who refused to assist Bush in his military campaign, France is singled out as the one country to villify because of it. China and Russia, among others, also refused to participate, so why are they not reffered to as "rats" and other such petty things. Why is this one nationality singled out as the sole recipient of what, for all intents and purposes, amounts to unabashed racism? Granted, the French are not a seperate "race" per se, but to throw derogatory labels at an entire nationality just because one doesn't like what their government chose to do or not to do, is, IMO, tantamount to blatant racism.

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread, I've never even heard of this movie until now. But after hearing about the dumbing down of the Living Seas, I'd really prefer not to "dumb down" the French Pavillion which, up to the present, has been a pretty classy, serious representation of the French culture. I hope they don't do the same thing to it that they did to the Living Seas by dumbing it down to a silly child attraction. :lookaroun
