I've seen one of the birds (not Donald) from "The Three Caballeros" in Mexico. Jose Carioca??? That's gotta be pretty obscure.

Daisy

Daisy is actually quite common in Disneyland Paris - you see her at least as often as Donald, chip and Dale etc I wonder why she's so shy in Orlando.
Can anybody tell me, do the characters still hang out in their native countries in Epcot? Last Christmas when we visited they only seemed to visit in the tour bus

Over near the where the Odysy restaurant used to be in Epcot, I met Mickey and Goofy............but they were wearing these silver space type outfits with rainbows across the front. That was the first and only time I have seen those costumes.

That was a popular costume for characters in future world. I've seen Chip n' Dale, Donald, Daisy, Minnie etc in them. They also had costumes corresponding to the countries in World Showcase. I have a photo of my daughter (around age 4 ) sitting with a mexican Pluto, and we had breakfast by ourselves with a colonial Mickey. I don't know if they still dress this way. This was in the mid 80s to pre 1993.

I remember groups around the characters in MK back then, but it was possible to just sit with them on a bench in EPCOT back then! It just wasn't as crowded!

I think they still have characters in their native countries. In the winter, I saw Quasimodo, Esmerelda, Clopin and Phoebus as well as Belle and the Beast in France plus the characters from Peter Pan (my personal favorite ;) ) in England. I've seen Alice in England too.

Not too long ago, I saw a Mexican Donald a la The Three Caballeros.

I was wondering about Daisy too...Shes on the front of the autograph book, her picture and a picture of her signature, but I never saw her. I saw Donald twice, MGM and his AK breakfast. I've never seen any characters from Sleeping Beauty...and the only time I've ever seen the villians is at the Villian dinner at 1900 Park Fare in The Grand FLoridian...why arent they ever in the park? I would REALLY like to meet Maleficanet from Sleeping Beauty...lol...I'm a villian fanatic and she j/seems the most evil...anyway...I'm blabbing now

Villains come out every once in a while. Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee are at PoC quite often (see popkid's photos). I think Jafar make some appearances. I'm sure they're pretty careful about certain character as they might traumatize some kids. Then you might get a gang of kids attacking one of them too. Now wouldn't that be a sight to see.

I saw the orangutan (his name escapes me) from Jungle Book once. He was actually climbing a tree in Town Square. He then got down and sat on me on a bench. He needs to cut down on the bananas

Last winter, we saw Snow White and all of the Dwarves in Germany (I think) in the World Showcase. I must admit, that was pretty thrilling. I think that maybe Disney has the right idea in not flooding us with characters - this way when we see someone we never do, it is special even to us Annual Passholders. When I see Winnie the Pooh, it is not a big thrill because he is all over the place.;)

Roger's gone cuz disney lost the rights to use him. Daisy's never out, cos she's too short to play with;) .

I've seen some of the most random characters though. Today I saw Megara, Stromboli, Clopin, Mulan, and Chewbacca at MGM.

I had to do some MAJOR searching to finally find Robin Hood. He, Prince John, and Friar Tuck are pretty rare. I've only seen Prince John twice and the others once.

try the enchanted glade in Liberty Sqare at MK

DarkWing Duck.....was one of my daughter's favorites...and u can only see him in Toontown...he's got one of the best costumes too.

You can see him anywhere random characters are known to appear.. Sid Cahuenga's, Expo Hall, NY Street, and YES, toontown. Heck, for day of the birds, he was at AK. But so was every other disney bird available.

Snow White is in Germany; Genie, Aladdin, and Jasmine are at Epcot; Mary Poppins is in the UK. That's about it. On a rare occassion I saw Bert there w/ her, but that was a RARITY.

We once rann into the seven dwarfs in the building next to Tonys Resturant on Main Street, all seven were there and it seemed like they were there for quite a while. We also ran into the Cinderella mice in Fantasyland on the early morning. The one I hardly see is Peter Pan and all his clan.

I have never seen Tinkerbell - who (surprise!) just happens to be my favorite character. I mean I have seen her from a distance at the beginning of the fireworks at the MK but never in Meet & Greet kind of situation. I've seen Hook and others from Peter Pan but Tinkerbell has thus far eluded me. Could it be my bright pink Tinkerbell pajamas that scare her away?

ehh. Tinkerbell never does meet and greet.. the pens are usually bigger than her. The cinderella mice that go out are Suzy and Perla.. however Jacques and Gus-gus are in SpectroMagic. The 7 dwarves do not appear in expo hall any more (since february). You can still catch Dopey there though.

Peter Pan has been appearing almost daily throughout adventureland. Though I've seen him in CRT and Toontown recently.

ahh. Well that explains it. I guess kids would start to wonder why Tinkerbell was so big. I didn't think it through. Thanks for the info.:)
