You may have spotted a training set when they were preparing for the pixie ltm. They were not at Epcot last year regularly whatever you saw was a random one off. Like this Silvermist appearance

Boy you like arguing to argue. All those pics are training meets and can happen any day of the year.

Not for flower and garden. Not for the movie release. The only year they met somewhere else was when the MK location was closed in 2011. Willing it to be different doesn't make it a fact.

Now you're just quibbling semantics. During the period of the F&G show last year, several of the fairies made appearances, and tl77 has proven that. Now you're harping because tl said "for" and perhaps "at" would have been more accurate. SMDH.

There's a big difference between a random appearance and staffing a dedicated greet. Tl77 would have you believe they will be there starting next month for ten weeks.

Do I think they're going to be prevalent throughout the F&G fest? No. Do I think they'll make a few appearances based on prior instances, especially considering that the new movie has a bit more star power than the average Fairy movie (Tom Hiddleston is on fire right now) and they want to promote it? Yes.

HAHAHA! so what do you think are they "training them FOR"...Test Track? Why else would they have the fairies in Epcot?... seriously, they weren't being trained they were Appearing in Epcot FOR the Flower and Garden Fest because this is the only time in 2013 any of them were seen anywhere on property. In the spring and summer the parks hours increase, and they need extra Entrainment performers for the Extra Magic Hours, and the additional parades and shows, and extended meet and greet hours, and special events like the Star Wars Weekends and Flower and Garden Festival... this is the only reason the fairies were in Epcot

You have half a fact and no point, and insulting me does NOT make you right

Well, now, to be fair, training sometimes includes being a character that's not necessarily the one you're going to wind up being full-time.

Personally I get the feeling the "Rare Fairies" maybe parade dancers.. like the girl who kind of looks like Fawn may work an afternoon shift as Fawn but also be a Dragon Fly in the Main Street Electrical Parade at night

More than likely, the training was either for DCE or for the character to keep up their skills.

As in this situation, Silvermist was likely for skills or DCE.

2012 as well. Behind Mouse Gears.

Yeah the past few years they've been showing up randomly in Epcot during the spring/summer Flower Garden Fest.

I think it was deemed to be too expensive to have 5 or more Fairies in the same place, full time, like they did originally in Toon-Town, and that's probably also the reason they cut the big Pixie Hollow area for the Fantasyland Expansion and went with the smaller, Tink and one friend, "Magical Nook" instead

The misinformation in this thread is so bad.

When Toontown closed Silvermist, Iridessa and Fawn were "retired". Rosetta, Vidia, Terence and eventually Periwinkle are the fairies that meet with Tinker Bell in the nook at Magic Kingdom. The intended plan is Rosetta in Spring, Vidia in Summer, Terence in Fall, Periwinkle in winter. The use of Fawn and Silvermist currently in Magic Kingdom likely has to do with friends of Rosetta being spread thin due to FoF rehearsals and some other character M&Gs I won't discuss for magic purposes. Vidia has also been covering in the Nook and she is not the "scheduled" fairy.

ONE YEAR during Flower and Garden, in between the closing of Toon Town and the opening of the Nook, Tinker Bell met regularly at Epcot. She did so with Vidia, Rosetta and Terence and there was some alternating pattern.

The photos posted above of Fawn, Silvermist, & Iridessa were one day training meets at Epcot in preparation for the Limited Time Magic Fairies week event, which brought back Silvermist, Fawn and Iridessa. This event lasted one week but the training of these characters allows for them to be currently used (which is why they can now be used at the nook).

The photo of Vidia training is simple and tradition character training at Epcot. The photo is from August 30th so how that has anything to do with Flower and Garden is beyond me. Vidia is a semi regular character and they were hiring for her in late summer, which is why her friend needed to be trained. Also one day training. That photo is from the same day Meg trained at Epcot. Also one day. Not scheduled. Zero to do with Flower and Garden.
Are you sure? They almost had me convinced...
