Totally agree on this. I visit at minimum once a year and I never get bored. I will enjoy seeing the progress of FLE this week since I was last there in January and am anxious to see the theming in Storybook Circus.
I do not think you will be disappointed on your next trip! Things are coming together nicely.

From a french point of view, living next to Disneyland Paris, i cannot understand sometimes WDW fans... Correct me, but you just inaugurated a new hotel, a new attraction is gonna open in a few months, along with a new expansion, restaurants and experiences. Another unique, major ride is under full construction right now, and a mega-land is gonna open right after that. And I just don't count the Test Track rehab, Princess Fairytale Hall and other enhancements that will come your way in the next 2 years. And don't even start on the big rumors concerning Downtown Disney's expansion and NextGen

You misunderstood me, not sad as in, "Poor me!", but sad as in, " I'm actually excited about every part of WDW, even bathrooms!"

Differences are huge, in guest service, upkeep, new investments, weather... I truly believe we have the best masterplan (a kind of mix between WDW and DLR), and great future projects, but unfortunately our financial struggles keep DLP from developing fast. Yet, for people visiting once in a lifetime, or regulars who visit every other year, it's still a magical place. But trust me, when WDW locals are whining about what they get, it just makes me cringe.

I visit both ... regularly. I have APs to both WDW and DLP. I appreciate the good and bad of both ...

And DLP is going to be getting a whole lot better in the future and more investment ... WDW ... well, they are fighting over the amount and the scope and WDW is so large that nothing short of many BILLIONS of dollars would put the place back into the place it was 20 years ago.

The one Ratatouille ride being built in DSP is better than the entire Fantasyland project at MK.

You forgot at DLP you are a short train ride from real French cuisine, but guess what we get a French restaurant with only two French dishes.

At a theme park in Florida. Not quite an even comparison....

I know but they could of at least tried - where is Belle's Croque en Bouche, Creme Brulee, Escargots, Beef Bourguignon or even Sole Veronique. Plus I know its not a theme park but last time up in St.Augustine at Bistro de Leon was some of the better French cuisine I've had in the States at least.

Actually, the Bistro de Paris served fine French food (I've spent plenty of time in France, I know my food!) ... I fully expect that to change when the new Walmarted version debuts.

Sure we always want more. But visiting every 12-18 months, I just cannot get bored with WDW, there's always some new things to see (new show, happening, rehab, and even toilets :p ). Other parks have sometimes 2-4 years of wait between new attractions, and get no major upgrades. For what I can see here, it's a nice area development project. Sure, I'd prefer and Tangled attraction, but I'm definately looking for this new "area" instead of the old, unused Skyway station.

What is the "mega-land" you speak of?

The constant 90+ minute wait to get on TSMM says about all that needs to be said about why we have grown impatient. It's a great ride, but the fact that the wait time is consistently so long tells you there need to be many more of these types of attractions.

Don't get me wrong. I think all of us are happy for the FLE but it's simply a case of too little, too late. It's going to be a beautiful addition, but a cloned ride, a restaurant with shops, and a circus area (that is admittedly done on the cheap so that TDO could pay for the SWMT) is really nothing that sends shivers down my spine. That much of a budget and that large of an area could have and should have been a place that people could spend hours in.

For better or worse, there's a target customer base being aimed for. Plus, Bistro is a good option for that fare (refurb pending).

Oh yeah always forget that is in Epcot- well you gotta check out Bistro de Leon in St.Augustine it was last Christmas I was there but reminded me so much of the cuisine I've enjoyed in years gone by in the Normandy region.

Oh and I would argue the best experience in St.Augustine is staying in the Casa Monica, seeing some history, relaxing by the pool and enjoying some great food experiences.

Sooo..Lemme get this straight...Tommorowland's amazing waterfall that was a great feature gets removed..But, they decide to make one for FL.....Meh!
Makes at least as much sense as knocking down the Galaxy Palace Theater, only to build that stage for Stitch's Supersonic Celebration right next to it.

For TSMM, problem is capacity and popularity. We have the same here with Crush's Coaster. Does WDS Park need more attractions? Sure, but when when we added them after Crush (Tower of Terror - which aimed at the same audience - , Playhouse Disney, Stitch Live, Toy Story Playland), numbers didn't slow down at all at Crush.

As for FLE, I understand your point. But nonetheless, it will be a great, immersive area. And 7DMT will be unique.

As for the mega-land, I'm talking about Pandora. All in all, that's way more than 1 billion of investment in 5 years, that's a lot of money. You must also realize that for foreign visitors, many of which are also fans but not locals, WDW is not at all in a "state of disrepair" as we can read here from time to time.

I guess we're not really on the subject anymore... sorry!

Still, there's an enormous gap in the timetable for new attractions. And, until Pandora actually begins construction, I wouldn't consider it a done deal.

But yeah, I get your point. We have had friends in from out of town over the summer. Both families stayed for about 5 days and didn't even come close to seeing everything. Still, annual passholders are a big portion of the WDW pie, and they need to do a better job of keeping things fresh. The only thing I would expect is for them to keep pace with the other parks in the Tampa/Orlando market on new offerings, and it seems like they are far behind.

There's nothing like the thread drift on the WDWMagic boards!!!
