Just heard from one of Flynn's friends, and apparently the idea now is that Flynn and Rapunzel will meet in Italy in World Showcase for the first week or so, still beginning on the 15th. Apparently there's nowhere in Magic Kingdom for them to go. Germany would have been my first choice for Epcot, but Snow White meets there, and I guess they don't want Rapunzel and Flynn to be overshadowed.

Norway seems like a better choice seeing as there are vikings in the movie...

This will be very interesting to see. Thanks for the info.

Talked to some people tonight, and Rapunzel in the Italy pavilion isn't happening. It was going to happen (and they also briefly thought about putting Rapunzel and Flynn in Hollywood Studios), but now they're going to begin meeting in the Fairytale Garden as planned, just ten days later than they were supposed to. They're brand new characters, so it's not as though they will be missed. Although I'm sad that I have to wait ten extra days now! :(

Disneyland's version opened today there is a pic in the DL forum here.

Looks like they were given a decent budget. As I said before I think they should build a forced perspective tower behind the skyway and make this permanent m&g.

Rapunzel and Flynn were meeting guests outside the Millennium Village (World ShowPlace) at Epcot this afternoon. Sorry, I don't have pics, but they looked really great (I love how they braided Rapunzel's hair in such a way to give you the impression of it being super long).

Hope that helps those you wanting to see them!

Have you not seen the pictures? It looks like some sort of tower IS going up for ours.

As jt mentioned, the Disneyland version of this meet n' greet opened today. While I'm sure there will be some differences between Disneyland and WDW, the major construction at WDW (and the slight delay) tell me that the WDW version will probably be similar to the Disneyland version.

Here's what the Rapunzel tower and meet n' greet cottage look like at Disneyland, compliments of mintcrocodile and mrdaps;

Rapunzel and Flynn, the cute couple inside the cottage - check out all that hair!

WDW's tower can pretty clearly be seen (I am assuming the huge column is a tower). Yet no one really knows what is going on. I am pretty curious myself. Either way, glad to see the movie getting love. DL's looks AMAZING. Hope ours is half that. But her hair is backwards. Why would it be coming FROM her her head, out the window, around a tree and in a even smaller window that she couldn't fit through. It's like someone did this to her to be mean when no one was looking! :lookaround:

P.S. Does anybody know what is going on with ours?

Beat me to it! Yup, I heard from one of Flynn's friends that they'd be meeting there today and up until their MK spot opens on the 25th. I'm gonna go see 'em tomorrow. :)

Well the outfits look pretty decent, although I have to agree with my friend who told me yesterday "I finally saw the official trailer for Tangled and it keeps looking worse". Idk if they are trying so hard to make it seem "gender neutral" that they are leaving out the quality parts of the movie but the trailers remind me of Disaster Movie, someone keeps getting hit with something. So they are going to have to do a heck of a job to win me over on this one, although knowing my luck it'll be a huge hit and Disney will say "See, we don't need to make those quality princess movies, make look like that Tangled movie"

Wow... you know nothing about the movie do you? Tangled is a full blown musical film with music and songs in the style of 60's folk/Broadway by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, featuring some of the best songs written for a Disney Film since Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. The test screenings for this film have gotten such good reviews that they have shocked the directors, even press screening gained great reviews. Many of those who have seen the previews compare it to Beauty and the Beast, praising the songs, characters, and plot. I'm sorry but I am sick and tired of people bashing this movie without giving it a chance. :wave:

Yes, but this is most likely a temporary location. I think they should make it permanent similar to what they are doing with Belle and Mermaid. Actually I believe it will become permanent if the movie does well and more importantly moves merchandise. I just think the FL skyway station is especially well suited for a Rapunzel m&g. Just my opinion.

I'm sorry that you feel like I wasn't giving it a chance, as much as I love Disney animation I truly want to give it a chance. But personally from what I have seen trailer wise, it's just not on par with the other classic movies. Now maybe when I go see this in November the same thing will happen when I saw How to Train Your Dragon, doubted it at first, loved it later. I see you mentioned how people are comparing it to Beauty and the Beast, I'll take it one step further and go with last year's movie PatF. That movie from the very beginning was being played up as going back to basics, doing the things that people loved in the classic Walt Disney films, which is what they indeed did. The story was a bit generic I'll admit but it was the characters and the music that really brought it to life. I know a lot of people out there say "Ugh, Randy Newman..he ruined the movie with his music" but to me he captured the feel of New Orleans and was exactly what the film needed. Now that being said, when I look at Tangled, and I did indeed watch the link you provided, yes, the look of the film will be amazing, I like the fact they used Fantasyland as an inspiration but I'm more worried about the script. I saw that second trailer and half the time I saw someone getting hit with something, and frankly I saw enough of that in the first trailer and hoped they would make the official one less about the gags. But I still will see this film when it comes out because I can't say for sure what the final product will be like but so far, I'm just not that impressed.
