Random thoughts from MK visit today (AKA Stroller Encounter)

Heading for the great escape.

We are stroller people- actually headed into transition away- but for now stroller people. A week from Sunday we arive around noon and will MK with a back pack and DS9, DD6. When we do our rope drop to close day on Wednesday- small stroller with a cooler in the bottom and our "stuff" bag hung over the back. YES my 9 year old son will ride in it 3 times late in the day and YES I will run you over if you are not paying attention.

Have a magical day

My natural reaction to that would be to pan your melt in, Magically of course.

I truly hope you meant, "YES I will run over you if I am not paying attention," and not that the crowds are expected to part like the Red Sea simply because you have a stroller and they have to rely on their pathetic human legs to get around. Or that your entire post was meant to be humorous hyperbole... :D
I do not expect to part the sea, I even come to a complete stop sometimes when pushing a stroller (ocassionally). There are always people who are not paying attention while walking and they are the ones who bother me. I also always know exactly where I am headed since we go often, so that can add to the annoyance of "lost" souls wandering the park.

In this I think MK is "worse" than DHS or Epcot, partially because of the crowds, but partially also because most Epcot and DHS attractions are very easily found...they're not hidden in winding pathways around corners, etc. Epcot is extremely easy to figure out and DHS is full of straight paths and streets. MK, by design, is more organic looking. AK is as well, but they don't have the traffic of MK. I personally can't stand AK's layout I won't go into it here.

Dude...seriously??? You expect the world to know that you are a Disney Warrior and that they better not cross your path? I think that this subject hits a raw nerve for some and as the father of a child with a "hidden disability" I took great strides to ensure that when pushing him in a stroller not to interfere with the foot traffic of others. Common courtesy is far from common anymore, but for those of us that still practice it, it can be a bit frustrating when encountering those that are "entitled", be it walking, driving, pushing a stroller, etc.
When I go to Disney it is to relax and to not take myself or others too seriously. My life is serious and stressful enough so when I hit the park I want to be carefree and wander. But not so carefree that I would run into anyone who happened to be carefree and wandering into my path. Its a theme park built for kids, including the little kid in each of us, so there are bound to be tons of strollers. Just keep your eyes up and say, "Excuse me, please and thank you" and all will be good.

I don't think Disney will ever down size the strollers mainly b/c they want you to stack your kids and everything you buy on it.

I do wish they would make people fold them up to get on the monorail and buses.

If anything Disney could remake the double strollers that our thinner but longer I might be able to live with that.

There we go......that's all this thread was lacking. The quintessential reason why stroller people get a bad rap.

It's all here. The self-centered-my-vacation-is-more-important-than-yours-pay-attention-to-me-attitude, the complete lack of empathy or respect for anyone else (especially if you don't know your way around, apparently), the self entitlement .....toss in some passive-aggressive anger/violence issues and you've got the sweat covered epitome of the stereotypical stroller operator.

For the record, I'm just as agressive on foot too;)!

Fortunately we have have a quote and reply button to use, it helps the rest of us figure out who you are disagreeing with. :)

or you can just not be lazy and read the whole thread. It's not like it's 19 pages long. I'll quote this time so you know who I'm disagreeing with
