Random, meaningless pondering about Cinderella's Castle

In the last ten years, what is the longest stretch of time that Cinderella's Castle has gone without a single person taking a video or photograph of it? (During park hours of course)

Probably not much. And it probably came during a very bad thunderstorm. Now ask the question again, this time assuming only good weather days.

10 seconds?

5 seconds?

A fraction of a second?

Hmm... back in the day, when the Magic Kingdom closed at 6 PM most every day, and reopened at 9 or 10 AM, there would be pretty big breaks. So, my answer is 15 hours...

It has to be a fraction of a second, many a time during a thunderstorm I see people standing there trying to get shots of the castle with the incredible Florida sky in the background showing its rage.

I've always wondered about the most photographed people on earth. Sure, for a long time people said it was Princess Diana but just think of all the characters in the parades at Disney World.

Each day there is a friend of a character who has their photo taken multiple times by thousands of guests - surely one of these great people must be the most photographed person on earth.

Not sure about the UK, but here in the US it could be someone like Alex Rodriguez. Think about it. The New York Yankees play 162 games a year (plus playoffs) in front of mostly soldout 50,000+ seat stadiums. For most of the 3 hour game, he stands right there in the middle of the indfield for anyone to take pics. Then of course he's one of the more followed American athletes by the Paparazzi, regularly finding himself in the NY tabloid papers.

Interesting topic. There are always people coming up and down mainstreet getting the castle in the background. During park hours I'd say the max non-photo time is probably 45 - 60s

Wow. I would assume it has pictures taken pretty much constantly. I might suggest immediately before the fireworks when the announcement is playing there might be a stretch of a few seconds with no pictures because everyone is readying their cameras for the fireworks and the castle is otherwise darkened.
I even take pictures when everyone is leaving the park. I like to get the throngs of people leaving mainstreet in their varying moods (hey, this kid is crying and this family is happy with ice cream, and this family looks wistful like they are leaving for the year... ) and the castle in the background.

I don't think this is meaningless....i think it's interesting to think about....though absolutely NO way to actually find out or measure the truth.

Seriously, I cannot think that more than a couple seconds go by without a picture being taken of the castle itself or witht the csstle in the background. Speaking merely about park hours, there are guests 360 dgrees around the castle, plus the castle shows which will automatically be in the background of EVERY picture. And as said earlier, people out side of the park, on the monorail, on the lagoon (boats etc.) in the resorts.

Honestly, I don't think I can fathom more than 2 seconds going by without the castle in some sort of pic.

As it is, I remember reading somewhere at some point, that Cinderella Castle is the world's most photographed landmark (IIRC).

So, final answer, I'd say a pic every 1 to 2 seconds, much, MUCH higher amounts during park opening, shows, parades and fireworks.

Cinderella Castle (no 's)

I would have to say that if you include the inside of the structure that a picture is being taken constantly every minute of every day.

If you think about trying to get your turn to take a picture in front of the Partners statue with the castle in the background, you know that the answer is that somebody is always taking a picture.
