Rammstein is industrial-metal mix. Most anything you hear that's out of Germany is industrial. Germany is pretty much an industrial meca...and I think the birth place of industrial. Kraftwerk hails from Germany...IMO they are like the god fathers of industrial....no matter what Trent Reznor tries to tell you lol.

Most bands considered industrial or goth cross over each others or some other genres boundaries. So you find alot of people are fans of both types.

D*A for example is a mix of alot of diferent stuff. I think someone called them "nu-new wave" lol

I love Rammsteins stuff, and I always thought they were industrial, some kid at school tried to call them goth. Then I asked if he ever listened to them, he said no, and stopped talking . Hopefully when I get my license I can drive up to tampa and see a show. And what exactly is nu-wave?

Like all music,industrial is constantly evolving,like Josh said Kraftwerk were the originators of industrial,Rammstein is a fusion of industrial and metal,not PURE metal,sorry Dan! HEHE!
Good industrial are bands like Front 242 and frontline assembly and new bands like Bella morte and zeromancer and while DSA are great they also are not PURE industrial.:animwink:
