I recently found myself smiling at the "TSSSSSSSSSSSST" sound that a bus made while I was walking to work today, and I immediately thought of the Disney buses. That's just the latest example of common things that for one reason or another remind me of Walt Disney World, and it immediately put me in my happy place! How often does it happen to you?

I could make a very long list, but pineapples remind me of the Poly, any bus that displays where it's going reminds me of the buses, and sometimes I can smell The Land pavilion around my local movie theater--although I think it's something else.:lookaroun

Whenever I see a water fountain (not the drinking kind) I think of Disney. I guess it is just because there are so many at Disney. I was trying to think about which Disney fountain is my favorite, but I love them all. I put a sort of small water fountain outside at my house to remind me of my favorite place. But I would like to get another larger one.

When I was in college in the 90s, the buses on campus were the same models as the buses at WDW, so it was an easy connection to make.

Other theme parks remind me of Disney...as I talk about how this place/food/ride is not as good as Disney World.

I walk my dog every night and when I smell people's fire pit smoke, I think of Rome burning, of course. We have a couple of outdoor malls that remind me of DTD.

The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago has that Epcot-ish feel to it. With everything from Space, Inventions, Weather, Health and Transportation..
It even has it's own hidden Mickey inside Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle...The Picture is on the bottom left on the wall...

Anytime I see a fireworks display, Im always thinking about being on the observation deck of the Contemporary. Sometimes if I walk past a bakery or smell popcorn, I think about how it smells entering the MK. Lastly, trains.

After seeing Modern Marvels and knowing Disney pumps those smells in for our benefit - it just trips me out. But that's Disney, it's one big show - and I'll keep going back, watching for changes and enjoying the things that stay the same.

The first morning of the year when I wake up and its hot...

I love that museum and that doll house. I still have my book from the early 80's when I was 11 and my parents first took me to see it. It is so awesome it has an original Walt Disney portrait!!

Weird you brought this up cause I was thinking about it yesterday. I don't know why but I had the new Berry Poppyseed salad from Panera and the smell reminded me of Disney. No idea why lol

Anytime someone says some catch phrases like:

"It's a small world, isn't it" I think of you know what

"You're in for a treat" - I think of Carousel of Progress

I can't hear songs like Home on the Range, Red River Valley or Happy Trails without thinking of the Frontierland musical loop

That funky, almost mildew-like smell inside the monorail from the rubber covered seats and the a/c running all day long - yeah, rubbery bandaids - some people get it, some don't but if you are in your mid thirties of later, you may have a better chance of getting the reference
