Random acts of Kindness at WDW

I lost track of how many random acts of kindness I saw on our trip there a couple weeks ago. Especially able bodied people leaving seats open on buses.

I have always enjoyed the CMs kindness , but nothing really sticks out in my mind. I know I, myself have given away many paper FP, I miss that. One time, I belive it was 2013 right after the new Test Track opened, I had 2 fps for me, and my wife, but my lil girl was acting up, so we said forget it. As we turned around a young couple passed by. I over heard the girl say, oh no, the wait is 60 min, no way we can ride. I had my fps in my hand, that were good for right then. I quickly turned, and handed them the fps. No big deal, well this girl, and her man were so excited, and thankful, saying how I just made there trip, and whatnot. That to me was an act of kindness from them, it put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. Also, I have back problems, but I never, never alow a woman, child, or elderly person to stand while I sit. My wife actually gets mad at me sometimes because I will move to the back of the bus to stand to let a stranger sit with her, but it's just a natural instinct. I can't stand seeing 16 yo boys sitting while an elderly woman is standing in front of them, hanging on for dear life. Sometimes I can't keep my mouth shut about it:mad:. Great thread!

We order food from grocery store and have it delivered to our room. If we have items left over, that don't make sense to pack to fly home with we offer it to families at the hotel. They are often surprised but grateful. Sometimes we know friends who are coming a few days later. It's fun to send them a small care package with our prepackaged left overs.

I just want to say that I love this thread and I can't wait to read more positive stories. My story is a basic one of paying it forward with paper fast passes but also, I just love conversing with cast members. Now that I think about it, I was having a lovely conversation with a DVC saleswoman at the Contemporary just passing time. We were speaking about the old Adventurer's Club and how I missed it. She opened a drawer and pulled out an Adventurer's Club trading pin and gave it to me, even though I had no pin to give her! She told me she would be in Epcot the next day and if I see her, say hello. Well, we just so happened to be in Epcot the next day and I wouldn't leave until I found her. Searched every DVC kiosk and there she was. Yelled out Kungaloosh and waved. Love Disney Cast Members. She had the greatest smile. :)

My husband and I had several RAOKs during our trip! Here is one:
While talking to a CM about my pins I was saying how my Stitch one was my favourite - only to look down to show her and find it gone!! I was gutted - however she quickly produced a pad of vouchers and wrote one out for me to get a new Stitch pin! That was the first RAOK we experienced and it blew me away.
For our next trip we want to do some ourselves - this thread is giving me inspiration!! :)

We were waiting to buy tickets and a CM approached my mother to ask her if she needed a ticket. She was buying one for my father. The CM offered to take my dad with her through the line and buy a ticket for him Free ! It was more than just the money, it was that wonderful warm feeling that started the day and made our day even better.

the first time we ate at prime time café we were trying to decide what desserts to order, the waiter came over and asked how we were doing. We happened to mention that we liked the sound of the s'mores but didn't know if we would like them ( we don't have them in the UK shocking I know!) he proceeded to bring us a sample of them to try for free, just because he could not believe we had never eaten them. It was a really nice touch.

I remember back in October of 2007, a DMGMS CM came up to us and offered us to sit in one of the floats during the afternoon parade. My father was reluctant at first since he had FPs for RnRC, but after we further convinced him, he accepted.

That moment was the best birthday present an 11 year old could ask for. The CM was great, too.

Here's mine...

I got to the first of line spot for Mulan's next meet and greet and was patiently waiting. The line was starting to get decent and she'd be out soon. While waiting, the CM attendant came up to me and said that there was a special needs family; would I mind if they went ahead of me, she asked. I gladly let them ahead, because seriously- what kind of jerk would say no? The mom, the daughter and two sons, one in a wheelchair, took their place ahead of me. The one son not in the wheelchair seemed a fidgety type, so I quickly struck up a conversation with the lad to distract him and save his mom some aggravation. Using his Hulk t-shirt as a starter, we chatted about superheroes, and I even let him take a gander at the comics I'd brought as a prop for a photo with Belle.

Hi, OP, here! I have another one which happened last trip. We were with grandkids/kids who were staying at another resort. I brought glow sticks for them, but never got around to giving them out. Then we were stopped on TSM and had to be manually unlatched and walked out of the attraction. We were given 2 vip passes to use within 10 days. We were leaving in 4. We forgot about them until we were packing the night before we left, and didn't want to try to get to another resort to give them to the family. So, I left them with the glow sticks for the housekeeping people to use! I hope they took advantage of the passes and glow sticks, and I hope it made their day. I used to clean cabins at a resort so I know what a thankless job it is! pass it along:)
