I want to know what you all do when it rains. I know alot of you dont mind the rain and continue to ride the rides which I think I would like to do also my question is how do you keep you feet dry? I cant walk around in wet shoes for the rest of the trip. Theres nothing worse than soggy shoes that make a squishy sound when you walk! Anyone have any suggestions?

If you're carrying a tote bag or backpack pack in a pair of flip flops. No, they wont be the most comfortable, and maybe a little slippery, but when the rain starts you can switch out your shoes, and when it stops you can put your comfy, dry tennies back on. Flip flops are easy to dry off, small, and lightweight.

Also, don't let the rain hinder your fun! I hate seeing people hovered under a roof, looking angrily out. Bring a hat, it'll keep the rain off your face. It's especially fun going on Haunted Mansion in the rain...it helps the theme!

Crocs? (I hate them but I guess they wouldn't get wet).

I wear flip flops - I love them and I know they get bad press but my feet are cool and they dry easily. If my feet are wet - it cools me off a bit!!!:ROFLOL:

I wasn't a Croc fan myself...until last year. My nephew talked us into them after we swore we were not going to wear them. We got stuck in the rain wearing them and all we did was go in the restroom for paper towels, dry them off and get moving again once it stopped raining. We normally do not leave the park when it rains. We head to whatever indoor attraction(s) are close by and just wait it out while everyone else runs for the exit. :D

I'm very particular about my feet/footwear while at Disney, so no flip flops for me. They don't provide enough comfort or support for all that walking. It's only my Nike New Balance shoes all the way while there. I usually bring two pairs just in case they get soaked through. If you know it's going to rain (or if it's summer) I tend to pack a fresh pair of socks with me when I go to the park.
The following are always with me at the parks (some are shoe related):
-poncho
-bandaids (for blisters)
-sunblock
-sunglasses
-camera, extra memory card, extra charged batteries
-fresh pair of socks
-water bottle and crystal light packets
-key to the kingdom
-credit card

The rain is great. Sometimes I wear my poncho. If it's really muggy, and the poncho is going to be uncomfy, I just keep it off and get soaked. I don't really care, frankly. The feet, though, yeah. I will change into dry socks as soon as I am able and the rain has stopped.

I'm also picky about my feet.

I always wear wool socks. They wick moisture away from your feet, and dry quickly if they get wet in the rain.

If I expect rain, I wear good walking sandals and either no socks or wool socks.

My other WDW shoes are Merrell Jungle Mocs. They aren't water proof, but they dry quickly if they don't get completely soaked. Those and wool socks usually do the trick.

If we get caught, and my feet are really wet, then it's just back to the resort to get the sandals.

When it rains, my dad and sister who are wearing small backpacks take out the ponchos and distribute to everyone. We put them on and continue on our way. When the rain ends, we roll up the ponchos as small as possible, stick them in ziplock bags, and back in the backpacks they go.

I also wear New Balance shoes and I am worried that the rain will ruin them, have you ever had any problem?

We always take a backpack with water, ponchos, flip flops, etc. If it rains as it did daily on our trip last year, we don our ponchos and flip flops and keep going. If it rains and lightnings real bad and we can't continue we go to the resort and watch Disney movies and snack and drink wine.

Usually when we're there in the rain, since it never rains for very long, we head to the stores or a restaurant or somewhere inside and our feet stay dry. The few times we stayed outside in the rain, (i.e. on our last trip we had a prime spot for the MK parade and it was the kids' first trip so we weren't going to give up the curb we had) we just got ponchos (we NEVER remember to bring the ones we bought on the last trip so we always have to buy new ones) and huddled under them while we watched the kids dance in the rain!

I'm also a huge fan of New Balance and usually take an extra pair with me just in case. However, I have fallen in love with Tevas and have now worn them to the parks two years in a row with no problems. And last July was the rainest time I have every been. Soggy shoes during the rain, but they quickly dried out when the rain stopped.
