Rainforest or Planet Hollywood?

You can also call T-Rex or RFC directly to make a reservation. I've never done RFC at WDW, but when we did T-Rex this past Nov...the walk up wait time was 45 min, but some of the people in line with us had called for reservations just earlier that same day and we all had about a 5 min wait to be seated. We've had similar experiences doing RFC locally.

If TREX is what you really wanted, don't hesitate to keep checking for an open rez spot as long as possible. something might become available.

Excellent point! I've been checking daily anyway because on our arrival day we have a reservation at 'Ohana but much later than I wanted...I just took whatever I could get. I check every day for a better time for that reservation, so checking for two reservations won't be any more trouble.

I'm just satisfied that I have a guaranteed meal for every night. I'm not hard to please.

As I stated above (and I go in August, when it's still busy), nothing wrong with checking, but they only release a limited amount to Disney's ADR system, and they also have their own ADRs (which has also been noted on the thread)...

But, even if you don't get an ADR, this isn't a place that you won't be able to get into. I've done it every year since 2010 without ADRs...as long as you are willing to wait for a bit, and not picky about your seating, you'll be fine.

The wait also isn't all that bad...there's a mini-boneyard the kids can dig in (something the kid remembered last year that I didn't...but what do you know, she was right) and of course the shop / build a dino that you can walk around while waiting.

Have fun!
