Rainforest Cafe AK

Hello Everyone :wave:,

I have been trying to get an ADR for the Donald breakfast buffet in AK on May 15 for the longest without any luck. As a backup I reserved breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe in the entrance of AK. Has anyone had breakfast there before ? Do they accept DDP, as I have purchased the plan and if they do not accept that a deal breaker. And on another note, is my trouble of checking the Donald buffet worth it.


Any info and advice is appreciated !!!!!

Rainforest Cafe does not accept the Disney Dining Plan.

I'm surprised that the Donald breakfast booked up so fast. Did you try at the 180 day mark?

Is there a breakfast near your hotel that you might want to try before heading to AK for the day? What about Boma's breakfast at the AKL?

I went on my first Disney trip in December and of all the reservations i had, Donalds safari Breakfast at Animal kingdom was our favorite. large variety of food and a great time with the characters. If you do evenually get an opening i would take it. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Agree 100% We loved the safari breakfast! the characters are awesome and there is so much food to choose from! and Jungle Juice=AMAZING.
If something opens up I would definitely take it.

I did another search for a breakfast adr in AK and I selected that option "only show DDP options" and it gave me Rainforest Cafe as a result. I also original believed they do not accept DDP but the website says otherwise. I not sure what to believe ?

Must be a glitch on the dining site. It's not listed in the brochure.

Breakfast at RFC is good to fair but a bit on the pricey side. RFC seems to suffer from inconsistency more than any other restaurant on property. One day it will be great and the next will be absolute crap. It is fine as a backup but I would keep trying for Donald's.

Yes - Rainforest Cafe has breakfast.
No - Rainforest Cafe does NOT accept the DDP. It's not a Disney owned restaurant

I'd keep trying for the Donald Safari breakfast...you never know when someone might cancel. The BOMA breakfast at AKL is a good alternative and close to AK (obviously...) Wherever your hotel is...you could eat breakfast there or at a nearby resort. We arent big on breakfast but I hear the choices at the Polynesian (ohana and kona cafe) are both top notch for any meal (i can only speak for dinner) so maybe give one of them a try
