Its not the food that makes me ill, its the (FAKE :) ) Animals surrounding me. And fish (Major phobia of fish) And the darkness and i prefer more light. It gives me anxiety being in there.:hammer::hammer::hammer::hammer:

Haha WOW I have some issues. My cousin is the same. Just wondered if anyone else feels claustrophobic in there. :kiss::p:wave:

No, I actually like it. But the animals are very fake looking. It just takes some imagination that's all.

You should try T-Rex. It's like Rainforest but a bit more realistic and it has a "meteor shower" every 15 or 25 minutes that's pretty cool. Try and eat in the ice cave room and no AAs will be by you. (;

I remember liking RC, but it kinda confuses me seeing as there are two of the same restaurant in the same resort...(It's in both AK and DTD) :lookaroun

I got ill from the food there, never been back since. The bill also made my dad ill.

All show and no substance. I'd rather walk through, save the money, and go to a REAL restaurant.

It is not that odd at all. WDW is roughly twice the size of Manhattan and Manhattan has 4 Olive Garden's, 3 Outbacks, 3 Applebee's, and 8 TGI Friday's.

Yeah not a fan of RC mostly because of the price. I think we racked up $80 for 2 people. The food there just isnt worth that much IMO.

We went once on our trip in 2000, but have since "discovered" the many great restaurants in Epcot (a case of growing up and growing tastes). Never made us sick, but we expect more from our meals now. Now we tend to do our day at AK, then head over by bus to Epcot for dinner at the WS.

Yeah we do that sometimes. We usually head of to dinner if it rains, go to maggianos or someplace similar then head back :king:

I have no issues with the food. I do get the same thing every time I go though. I have to say that the wait is always so long, that we usually eat outside. If you walk around to the left along the path, it's a different wait time to eat outside. We almost always walk up & are seated. There's not much atmosphere out there - but then you don't have to deal with the fake animals & darkness, haha. :lol:

I totally know what you mean though, because the Ice room at T-REX definitely makes me sick!! The blue, and then red lighting makes me feel really weird & light headed. My eyes get all screwed up. It's bizarre, but I always have to eat in the other rooms. So if you have issues, I have em too!

If you eat there at least once per year sign up for their Safari Club card. Not only will it get you a 10% discount on the food but you will get priority seating as well. As long as you eat there at least once per year the card it good forever.

Oh great idea! I didn't even know about that card. It's probably one of the things I miss out on by going straight to the outdoor part. We usually eat there each trip at some point, so it probably would be worth doing. Thanks for the tip! :wave:

Same here. I have astigmatism. My first time in there was also my last. That room is bad news for me.

It has been a lifesaver for us. We paid $10 for it 9 years ago. (I think it is up to $15 now) It gets us discounts in the Landry restaurants and stores, they always mail us dining coupons and we can show up there at 6:00 PM on a Friday night when the wait is 2 hours and we will be seated inside of 30 minutes.

The food is just average, but the atmosphere is great at both the Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex. The only reason why we go there is because my daughter loves it, if it wasnt for that we probably wouldnt go there. Too many other great eating opportunities.
