they'll never shut down the train permanently. too many people love it and it's too iconic. Also you enter MK under the TRAIN STATION - would be a little weird without an actual train.

Not only this, but Walt was a train enthusiast and loved his trains at DL and I am thoroughly convinced that with Walt's expressed intent to have a 'DL East' park, that would include the trains. Shutting them down would be a disaster for the MK and TDO.
