Is Kevin Feige wearing that EPCOT hat he's ALWAYS wearing?

Just didn't offer any hooks that made me want to seek out more about it.

Msn, I will state this only once: A TALKING RACCOON WITH A BIG *SS GUN!

I was mostly a transformers and gi joe kid...

Funny thing, did you know that G.I. Joes was originally a Nick Fury's SHIELD spinoff? lol

Dude.. as a kid in first/second grade... my shock was everyone else was playing with these figures with bending knees and elbows while all my star wars figures were stiffs! I moved from star wars to GI Joe and picked up the comics based on the toys :)

I was more of a Masters of the Universe person (I still have them =)

But i'm heading in OT territory, so:

The more I see of this film, the more I like it. Definitely looking forward to this.
I feel the same way. I started out not very interested in the movie but by the first trailer I was pretty excited. Now with the 2nd trailer I really can't wait to see it. I still think it may struggle a bit because of how unknown the characters are. I think it will do fine but we all know Disney will be panicking if its not doing better than Captain America or Thor.

If it gets good previews/reviews the fact that they are minor characters won't matter. The American public is getting pickier when it comes to their 100 dollar movie nights. But a quality movie is still a must see.

Heck, Marvel's first big movie success was Blade, who before then was best known as a C-list Spider-Man/ Ghost Rider supporting character.

Similarly, until their movies came out, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America didn't have nearly the cultural recognition that Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, or other characters have.

Just think- Marvel is making movies with Rocket Raccoon and Ant-Man, whereas DC can't get Wonder Woman on the silver screen without shoehorning her into the Batman/ Superman movie.

I mostly agree. Iron man was a lesser known hero (outside of the mainstream comic people) and that did very well. As far as a quality movie being a must see, it doesn't always work out that way. Like I said, I think it will do fine. I just worry that if it does Captain America 1 or Thor 1 domestic numbers, Disney may see that as a disappointment.

Well unfortunately DC can't get out of its own way. I just can't see why they can't get their act together. The way they are getting to the justice league movie just seems willy-nilly and reactionary to the success of the avengers.

So much of Iron Man's success was RDJ's performance! I'm a fan of Chris Pratt & hopes he can pull off something similar! Marvel is taking risks now much more than DC, IMO. I love that they're brave enough to do Guardians!

Why they should, since they didn't with Cap and Thor?

If anything, considering that these guys are much more obscure than Cap or Thor, it would be considered a major success. Now if, hypothetically, Marvel were to get back the film rights to Spider-Man, make a new movie and it pulled in numbers equivalent to Cap 1 or Thor 1, then THAT would be a disappointment.
