Agreed. My theory is that they aren't brining it long enough for the lemon and onion to seep in since the have to deal with factory level output to meet the crowds. SO, its not as tender or tangy as it should be.

It use to be amazing when it was a table service. Now it is more of a roast, nothing more.

The prime rib at Kona Cafe!! Used to be my favorite meal. I don't even know of anywhere that has prime rib at WDW anymore.

I admit I never tried the carrot cake, always got the cinnamon bun there, so I don't know what I missed, but I do love the carrot cake cookie "sandwich" (1 carrot cake cookies with cream cheese icing in the middle) from Writers Stop at DHS. If you haven't had one, might be worth trying??? and maybe....just maybe, it will ease the pain of not being able to get one from the Main St Bakery.

A good tasting, properly cooked duck breast with properly seasoned vegetables at Chef's de France...
Maybe they didn't have them that day or something but I am pretty sure they are back on the menu.

they didn't have them last week either. in fact that bakery had just about nothing, it use to have all kinds of desserts and other foods.
Any decent breakfast offering for adults or kids at Rix Cafe in Corronado Springs

CSR has just added a new restaurant called Las Ventana's which offers Breakfast and Lunch
I have noticed that unless you get to Norway early once WS has opened (11:00am) to about early Lunch (2:00pm) that most of the items sell out and they don't seem to replace them.

That really stinks. That is my typical evening dessert stop when we are in the area. In past years I have them restocking the case quite late in the day.

It's not so much that they did not have breakfast but rather they stopped having a good breakfast especially for the CS at Rix. you used to be able to get a decent breakfast sammich and head off to the parks or back to the room or even sit outside on the veranda and enjoy...those choices are gone. Is the new offering a CS or a sit down?
Our trip in 2012 they had a very nice CS offering at Rix but when we went back in 2013 it was pretty blah for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast had nice big croissant sandwiches and lunch had a great cuban sandwich...both gone. Also the Patisserie selection was slimmed down to bagels and sugary muffins or donuts. There was nothing much else in terms of a nice pastry to enjoy with coffee in the AM.

Mama Melrose had this roasted garlic appetizer that I loved!
The new restaurant is a TS option and only serves breakfast and lunch

Ugh...
I have recently noticed that the Maya Grill is no longer offering breakfast so that would explain the addition of Las Ventanas
