Quickest Way From MK To DHS

Last year I was trying to go from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Hollywood Studios. When I couldn't locate a direct bus, a cast member informed me that there ARE no direct buses from MK to DHS. I thought I recalled that there were. Is that correct? If it is, what is the fastest way to get from MK to DHS? THANKS!

You could walk/bus/monorail to the Contemporary and then catch the bus to DHS  or you could take the monorail to Epcot and then go through to the international gateway and take a boat over to DHS, but I don't know how fast that would be

Edit: but you are right, there are no buses between parks, only from resort to park and back

Thanks, Justin. That's exactly what I did last year, but it EASILY took 45 minutes for the bus to finally arrive, and then make pit stops at both the Poly and Grand Floridian! I'm thinking of grabbing the first resort bus that comes along, and taking that resort's bus to DHS. Does that make sense?

It definitely does, another option would be to catch a bus to Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club and then hop on the ferry from there. We have debated this with our next trip and decided that if we are going to DHS or AK that I am just going to drive to the park just in case one of the kids has a meltdown.

OK, thanks again. I know there used to be buses from theme park to theme park, except between Epcot and MK due to the monorail. Can't understand why they'd discontinue them.

take monorail to TTC then hop on a bus from there to the studios. or take a MK bus to boardwalk and just walk to studios. It's a nice walk right along the water.

We were there last month and there were park to park buses. I hadn't noticed them other years. I specifically noticed from HS because it was parked out where the Shades of Green bus parks.

I read on here not too long ago that they are expanding (or perhaps have done so by now) the MK bus stops for 3 reasons.

1. To create bus stops for the soon to be open Art of Animation Resort.

2. To create bus stops for the monorail resorts so that if the monorails are packed or break down, guests have the bus option to GF, Poly and perhaps the Contemporary.

3. To create bus stops for direct service to DHS and AK.

I'm sure many people on here know a lot more than me about this so feel free to correct any errors in the above statement.

If you monorail or walk to the Contemporary and wait for a bus to studios, that's your only option. If you monorail or ferry to the TTC, you have the option (such as it is) of either taking a bus directly to the Studios, or, if you're afraid one won't be coming for a while (or you know you just missed one by seconds), you can take a bus to an Epcot resort and walk/boat from there. At least that way you have some extra options.

Actually Slappy, once you're at the TTC there are no buses to the Disney resorts. (Because those go directly to the MK)

So once you commit, to the TTC, your only options are to wait for the Studios bus, or monorail to Epcot, enter the park and walk through.
