Quick Service Dining Plan

Does the Quick Service Dining Plan run on "credits" as well (like I've read about in the other dining plans)? So, if I wanted three meals in one day (for an EMH night) I could do so, since the plan runs on credit allotments?

Also, have you used the QS Dining Plan? How did that work out for you? Any suggestions or advice?

Thank you!!

The QS plan works on credits just like the other DDP do. Each person will get 2 TS credits for each night of your resort stay and you can use them however and whenever you like. To get 3 QS meals per day you will eventually have to pay for one out of pocket per day as the only plan that has 3 credits per day is the deluxe plan.

Personally I am not a huge fan of the QS plan. From the scenarios I have run it is break even to a little better than paying out of pocket and it is just easier to not be locked into a dining plan.

I second this.

Thanks for your help!!

The only reason I am doing the QS dining plan is because I'm getting free dining (with a PIN I was sent). Otherwise, I wouldn't be paying for the QS dining plan, but rather would go with a different plan.

Thank you for your help--it is much appreciated.

I thought it was possible to upgrade to a better plan, and just pay the difference. Is that not correct?

I did the QS plan during my last trip and enjoyed it. Not as much as the Table service plan, but for what we needed, it worked out well. We received two counter service credits per day as well as two snacks. It was more than enough food. We typically would use one credit for breakfast and then the second credit for an early dinner (around 5-ish), with a snack in the afternoon and then one later in the evening. We were never hungry. Since they are offering it to you for "free", then I think that makes it a good deal. Otherwise, as MasterYoda said, paying for the QS plan probably doesn't make as much sense as other dinining plans.

That is correct. If you wish to upgrade you can, and you pay the difference. If it were me, I would probably upgrade to the basic plan, especially having the free quick service pin, its still a great deal!

I didn't know this. I'll have to look into it. However, it's only my brother and I going down--two 20-something year olds--we're not too picky about where and what we eat.

I'll definitely look into this option and see the price difference.

As the other posters have said, yes it goes on credits. I am hoping to do a solo trip in 2011 and I am thinking of doing the quick service then. It doesn't work for my DH and I when we go together. We do Deluxe Dining then b/c it fits our dining experiences. But when I go solo - I just want to grab a bite here and there - and then pay out of pocket for any character dining experiences. Happy Planning!
