Questions about DDP

I am heading to Disney in August, the first week to be exact. I am a new member here, so if this question was answered already, I'm sorry for the repeat.

I made reservations for this trip back in March with the Magic Your Way package with Park Hopper and Water Park option. However I was wondering if I would still be able to add on the Dining Plan? I know that I will have to pay a fee considering the trip is less than 45 days away.

Also, I was wondering if it would be worth it for us. See, it's my boyfriend and I going, so is it even worth buying the plan? We eat a meal a day as it is, both real busy with work. So do you think it's worth getting the plan.

Another thing, do you necessary have to make reservations for all places we plan to eat. I figure we were going to wing it, but it sounds like it's a much needed thing to have. Yet I felt if it is only just two of us, it shouldn't be too bad.

Sorry for the questions again. Thanks in advance for hearing me out. =)

I believe the free dining plan is no longer available for the orginal offer in Aug. & Sept.
However, you should be able to add the dining plan & pay for it before your trip.
Just call WDW & they can tell you how much the DDP is & how to add it!

To answer your other question:
I think the DDP is well worth it!
You get 1 table service, 1 counter service & 1 snack per day.
You can use these any way you wish during your entire stay.
You are allotted one of each per each night of your stay.
With all of the walking that you will be doing, you may find yourself more hungry than usual.

Yes I do know that it is no longer free. I just figure we would save more money in getting the plan. Thanks for replying.

Oops, I didn't see your last question:
Yes, you will need to make reservations for your table services!
They do fill up quickly, so do this ASAP!
Some of the more popular restaurants may already be booked up for Aug.

Yes, you should make ADRs whether or not you purchase the dining plan.

If you like to do a sit down dinner every night, then YES the dining plan would be worth it. If you don't want to take the time out every day for a sit down dinner, or you just don't want to eat that much food, then NO the dining plan probably isn't for you. Have fun!

Yes can save alot of $ by purchasing the DDP.
A regular table service meal for 2 people can start at $50.00 each & go up.
You can eat a table service meal, a counter service meal & a snack each day for about that much on the DDP.

I figure it all out now, lol. Since it's only two of us, and we aren't big eaters. If anything we would just go to the random spots around the different theme parks than doing the restaurants. If anything we would go to one, so I think it would be better off if I don't take the dining plan. It's a great idea, but probably best because we would be forced to use it all when we don't eat a lot as it is. If anything, we would get a burger or something at Pop Century and then snacks throughout the day or something.

Thanks again for all the help.

Even if you think you'll do one or two sit down meals, you should probably try to make reservations. It's very hard to get walk-up meals now.
