Does the Wilderness Lodge have Refillable Mugs? I don't see them on the Roaring Fork menu.

Thanks

Yes, Wilderness Lodge does offer the Refillable Mug for $11.99 each. Old Key West is the only Disney Resort that does not offer them. Remember they are good for the length of your current stay only.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Great!!

My family and I are staying there the first week of August. I have to go to a training class all day and they are going to stay at the pool and FILL UP on cola using the refillable mug!!!! Then at night we hit the parks for a few hours probably going to the Evening Extra Magic Hours. And with our Annual Passes we don't have to be worried about the cost of admission. And believe it or not I had no problem booking two rooms at the annual passholder rate. I was shocked.

Thanks!

I mean I was shocked to get two rooms, the first week of August, at the Wilderness Lodge, at the AP Rate, with only one month until check in. I guess I thought that during the summer it would be VERY busy.

Good for the lenght of your stay? Is this only at the Wilderness Lodge??

At the contemporary, our family uses it each time we go down there (they really haven't changed the mug, except one year they changed the handles), but I've seen other people with "silver" contemporary mugs, still using them.

We've gone this year, in 2003 and 2002. No problems re-using our mugs, but I know they're not interchangeable.

For the nominal price of $11.99 the refillable mugs are NOT meant for repeated use on return visits. All signage states that the mugs are for the length of your current stay only. This is true at all Disney Resorts that offer the mugs. Due to abuse of this policy, the water parks have switch to a bar code scanner to ensure the mugs are not used on future visits, this may soon appear at the Resorts too.

We all know JP is correct. He always is! :D And he is very helpful (thanks JP! ) And I remember that the mugs are for the current visit only. I'm pretty sure they make it very clear. I usually don't pay attention to that kind of stuff, but I remember reading that several times, so they must have it posted in MANY locations if I noticed it. But, they are still a great deal if you are staying at least 5 days. We always get them and definitely get our money's worth.

Hmm...I seriously never remember reading about that on the signage ... anyone happen to have any photos of the advertisements from the contemporary where it states it? (I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I know our family proably wouldn't use them again if we saw it stated for your current stay only.)

Just as JP stated the mugs are refillable at all resorts for the length of your current stay. Last December we stayed at WL. There were signs posted and "Free refills until the end of your stay." & "Refills only at location purchased." is printed right on the mug.

Just to settle the debate here: No, you cannot use your mug for beer. Bartenders looked at me like I was crazy when I slammed my mug down on the counters of Victoria Falls, Tune-In Lounge, Tambu Lounge and the Barefoot Pool Bar. So there. Refillable mugs are only good for soda. Sigh.

The signs are posted where you can pick up the mug. In fact (I don't have it next to me, but...) I think they're starting to post that caveat on the mug itself.

They say that you're not supposed to use past the duration of your stay, but they have never really enforced this. Last year i was able to use a All-Star Sports mug from 1996 in the Pop Century, they didnt say a word, they didnt even give a wierd look.

True its not the most enforced rule in the world but that doesnt mean that if they see it they wont make you buy a new one. i dont think they will give you a terrible time because they are losing pennies eveytime you do it. from a business prospective i would rather lose money on soda then lose a customer.
