Question on Film Developing

While staying on property is there a way to make photos from a picture in your digital camera/SD card? Like maybe at the hotel front counter? Can it be done overnight?

Never saw that offered at any resort, but, I pretty sure it can be done at any of the parks if not DTD, worse comes to worse, hop a cab off property and go to a wall-mart, you should be able to get them done there. Otherwise I would suggest getting as large a SD card as your camera can hold, or a couple of larger ones. Goodluck

They might be able to do it at one of the photographic centers in the parks but if it is like their photo CD the cost will be brutal. If you have access to a car there are numerous Wal-Marts and Targets just minutes off property that can do it at a fraction of the cost.

EDIT: If storage is the issue you can get 2gb SD cards at CompUSA for $8 or less and you can get them online starting at around $6.

Any of the kodak picture places in the parks can do it. They're marked on the maps, but I know MK has one in the square just inside the gate to the right. They can do it, or burn them to a CD or whatever.

The only thing with that is you will be charged big time, so you'll have to weigh the options.

Exactly and with the cost, you might as well take that money and buy additional memory cards with it. They are pretty reasonable these days. I'd rather spend the money on that and have them to keep them for future use than overpay on prints. Not to mention the time lost messing around with it. Good luck!

Not being rude, but why would you want to print them out while you're at WDW? If you're worried about space just pick up about 8GB of memory and you should be set for a week's trip.

I've seen 4gb SanDisk sd cards at Wal-Mart for $24.98 and 8 gig SanDisks for $39. If your camera can do the High Capacity cards, you'll really be set. 4gb cards on my 8 megapixel camera at highest setting gives me 84 minutes of recording or well over 1,000 shots.

Like others have said, getting a bigger / additional SD cards is your best bet. It's cheaper and you get plenty of time to choose the pics you want printed when you get home.

Under the presumption that the OP has a good reason for wanting prints during the trips (pass them out to relatives on the trip? make scrapbooks at night?), I will post the following link...http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...=GuestServicesCameraServicesDetailPage&bhcp=1 ...which provides information on where in the parks pics can be printed.

Also, the 2008 Unofficial Guide suggests that 4 x 6 prints would be around .75 per print -- way too much to warrant printing a ton of photos, put OK for just a few, I suppose.

The Kodak places charge $12.99 to put all of the pics onto a CD. Then you can delete them and print them at home. But, as others have said you can get a 4GB card for around $20. We had ours and took about 1000 pics on our last trip.

Thanks for all of the replies. Space is not the issue. My kids wanted to mail our Christmas cards from Disney but we want to include our Christmas photo, which will be taken at Disney this year. We'll just wait until we get home and do it at WalMart at home. It was a neat idea but not that neat for the price!

Awww I can understand that. I guess many of us made an assumption since usually this is why this kind of question is asked. It would be neat to have a different postmark. Well in that case, I wish you luck if you decide to do this. It would be worth the extra cost if you really wanna do it.

If you really wanted to send from Disney, might I suggest that a small, compact, portable photo printer might be a more reasonably priced alternative to printing on property?

Example

Yeah it's $100, but I bet it'd still be cost-saving in the long run if you had a lot of photos to print out. Overkill? Maybe. But still a novel solution to the problem!

The thing about those printers are, they normally cost you an arm and leg to operate because of the price of the ink!
