Question For Those Who Live In Florida

Okay...I need to solve a dispute. My dad insists that people rake leaves in Florida...my mom insists that they don't have very many deciduous trees (like maple, oak, and kind that drops leaves) in Florida, and so, they don't rake. So do you rake...?

Yes, we rake, but we do it year round! Seriously, I have a camphor tree that is either dropping leaves, or these little hard berries that hurt like heck if you step on them in bare feet. The Magnolia trees also drop HUGE leaves, and "fruit" that really hurts when it hits you. The acorns have also been awful this year.

However, most people don't rake. They have the "mow, blow, and go" yard guys come by. Unfortunately, he blows the leaves into the flower beds, so I still have to "rake" them.

I never had to rake. Of course, we dont have the tree in our front yard no more...the tornado knocked it out, but I dont remember ever raking it:lol:

Yes...I rake or use to rake...the idiot neighbor's tree goes over the fence and drops a ton of leaves on the back yard....thankfully he removed it a few days ago.....

But yes...depending the type of tree you have....you still find that trees do lose their leaves down here...maybe even more than once a year....

:hammer:
