Question about the 180+10

So my trip I'm planning May 20-26, I have a question. I may cut my trip back to May 21-26. Obviously if I'm not going May 20th I know I wont need ADR's for that day, but what about the +10 aspect? Right now I'd say I'm about 60/40 going on the 21st, instead. Should I just wait until I WOULD have been eligible for May 21st ADR date, that Sunday? Does that make sense? Like if I pile on all my ADR's, the moment I can planning on the 20th, will they all get cancelled if I move the day back to the 21st? I've probably answered my own question, just wait, but I do want to know how that works because I will look at reservations open for those days, starting tomorrow. .

just for additional FYI's...I am looking at SCI-FI on Sunday, Rainforrest or no sit down on monday, crystal palace on tuesday, chef mickeys or the Wave on wednesday, and maybe Be our Guest breakfast if I can get it...possibly trails end or Park Fare as well. I don't think I will have a problem getting any of these, with the exception of Be our guest...correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks!

I'm a bit confused but I think I get it. Your 180 day mark has passed, meaning whether you were to go on 5/20 or 5/21 (of 2017 I presume) wouldn't matter for ADR making purposes. You can make all your ADRs up to 10 days out if you're staying on property and nothing will change if you change your travel dates.

Sorry, I can be very confusing at times! My 180 starts tomorrow if I go on the 20th and Thursday if I go on the 21st...so, the way I see it I could technically do all my ADR's tomorrow for my trip. BUT, what if down the line I decide that I am going to go on the 21st instead of the 20th? It could seem like I tried to get ADR's a day early (say if i never planned on going on the 20th)...does that make sense?

Hah I can be confusing sometimes too so you're in good company.

So once your 180 day has come (yesterday was 180 for 5/20, today is 180 for 5/21), you can make reservations at any time after that and in addition, changing your arrival date will not impact any of your ADRs as long as that 180 mark (plus the days worth of the reservations you've made) has passed.

This is a helpful calculator for reservation dates: http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

It's a factor of when the program will let you book. If you plan on a May 20th arrival, you can book 180 days out. If you later change to arriving on the 21st, all of the ADRs you made for May 20th are still valid, even though you will probably want to cancel them as you won't even be there that day.
