Question about Royal Plaza

I noticed Mousesavers has a deal for Royal Plaza. I've stayed there once about 20+ years ago and from what I remember it was pretty nice. Do you get any of the perks that you would get from an on property resort like EMH for instance? Also, I assume that you can not get the dining plan with them. Is this correct?

Any one stay there recently that would like to comment of a family of 4 and how comfortable it might be there?

Thanks!

The Hotel Royal Plaza is an Official Hotel of Walt Disney World, is located inside the Walt Disney World Resort Area and maintains all Disney standards. This Downtown Disney Resort Area Hotel provides continual bus transportation to the four Theme Parks and both Water Parks during normal park operating hours, running every 25 to 30 minutes. The buses are shared among the 7 Downtown Disney hotels. The resort is within walking distance of the Downtown Disney Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and Planet Hollywood.

Note, the Disney Magical Express, Disney's Magic Your Way Vacation Packages (including dine packages), and Room Charge privileges are exclusive to Disney owned and operated resorts and are not available at any of the Official Hotels of Walt Disney World.

Disney's Extra Magic Hours are exclusive to the Disney owned and operated resorts, and the Walt Disney World Swan, the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Shades of Green Resort, and the Walt Disney World Hilton.

We stayed there this past Sept. because my husband had meetings there at that hotel. I was surprised with the size of the rooms and how nice it was. We really enjoyed it but I had rather be at a Disney resort for several reasons. I like the Disney buses, dining plan & extra hours. Having said that, I would still stay at Royal Plaza again because you still feel like you are on site just with out those extra perks. :)
