Question about Disney phone calls prior to cruise.

Has anyone done this? I've done this with another company before our trips to WDW but not with the cruise. Does anyone know what it says when they call? The site said that there are two calls per reservation. Are the calls different with which character is chosen, or when you schedule the call? Can you do one before and one after the cruise? Thanks in advance for any info.

Tracey did the phone call for me once. He thought he was scheduling for the future but it was pretty immediate. I had Mickey call and say something along the lines of: "Hiya pal! We're looking forward to seeing you real soon when we sail to the Bahamas!" It was something like that. Never tried to get a call after the cruise.

We did it recently and it gave us an option of dates and times that the call would be made. As far as the message Sweetpee was pretty accurate. :p

One Little Spark...
I've got one scheduled for the morning we depart Contemporary to go to the Fantasy. The site makes it pretty easy...

The only complaint I have (and something I'll confirm, because I'm relying on the call to be the big "reveal" while we eat breakfast at Chef Mickeys) is that it doesn't LIST the calls you've scheduled on the website.

I scheduled mine a few months ago...and programmed the phone number they'll call in from in my phone as "Mr. Mouse", so I'll know what the call is when it comes in.

I doubt there is a "post cruise" call, rather the two calls are to allow for two surprises...that's just my guess. I highly suspect the script doesn't change much between the two. It's a welcome call, and if you have two kids, they each may want to be "surprised" with a call.

Note, and this is what confirms my suspicions, the site doesn't offer you a choice of message, just character.
