i was down there for spring '04 CP and arrived Jan. 12. i came from Hawaii so i was freezing all day and night. but, yeah, typhoon lagoon was down for rehab till the end of Feb. i think Mk and MGM were closing at like 7. it was nice not having all those long waits for rides.

I've been there twice in January. Jan '02 COP was not open, but Jan '04 it was. I know WOL was not open Jan '04, but I don't recall if it was open in Jan '02. Hope this helps!

I am a Pittsburgher, and I enjoyed the January weather throuroughly, but WARNING: It can get ***VERY*** cold (for Florida at least). One time in December it was 80 degrees and sunny and three days later we were buying tossle caps and gloves from a vendor and freezing our behinds off, but at least we were freezing them off in WDW and not the 'burgh!

January and February seem to be the time when many attractions go on rehab... I guess it's because of the lower attendance. There are also less fireworks shows, parks tend to close earlier... Or so I guess... But then you have really few people in the parks, and almost no lines at all! There are always advantages of going to wdw, no matter the season!!! Have fun!

This will also allow you to take advantage of allot of non park activities, that during regular "peak" season you would have to give up on some park activities to due due to crowds....

Yeah, that's it. :) And you get nice hotel rates too.
